tsundere battle â maki/midorima
âOf course I am absolutely sure.â Midorima answered cooly. He has been following Oha Asa ever since he was in elementary school, and so far the lucky items that he sought after every day had aid him well, ensuring that he will always be favoured by fate. Call him superstitious, but thatâs what he believed in, and no one shall belittle his beliefs.
âMoney is not an issue as long as lucky items are involved. It is a necessity.â As long as fate could be by his side, money was never an issue. He will do whatever he can to obtain the item. He remembered how he paid 5,000 yen to buy Takao his lucky item. Itâs not like he cared about him or anything, he just does not want his bad luck to affect his three pointer shoots that day.
It was then that the red-haired girl held out her hand and introduced herself finally. Midorima switched his hands, bringing out his bandaged hand as he introduced himself as well. âMidorima Shintaro. Former basketball player and student at Harpwood University.â
Makiâs purple hues fell onto the otherâs bandaged fingers. She definitely was curious as of why they were covered by layers after layers of bandages â did he happen to injure himself? Though, it was none of her concern â so she decided not to let it bother her. âBasketball player?â Explains why he was towering over almost everyone passing by. âAnyway, itâs a pleasure to meet you, uh, Midorima-san, right?â She hoped she had pronounced his name correctly. âWhat course are you studying at Harpwood?â
She pulled her hand back and let it fall to her sides after exchanging the handshake. Perhaps it was because of the way he spoke with such positivity about this lucky item process â but Maki found herself curious enough to start trying out the process for herself. Of course, she was not going to admit that she intended to read up more on the topic when she returns back to her dorm later on. âIâll think about it.â That was all she answered.Â
âYou must have a considerably large amount of income, then?â He most likely came from a pretty well-off family. From the way he was speaking, it came off to Maki as if he would not mind spending a hundred thousand yen simply on his daily lucky items.Â
