Twist and Shout
⌠ ♫ ⌡—▸ Feeling antsy, the job search had begun. He had yet to find a library where he could possibly have internet access since he had no use of a computer of his own. It reminded Ranmaru of his younger days where he’d travel from bar to bar trying to promote his band and book gigs. Harder, more stressful times, that’s what they were.
With his success in the preforming arts industry as an idol member of QUARTET NIGHT, Ran knew he wouldn’t have a hard time finding a job. He could act, model, sing, play the bass. He had numerous talents going for him, but no one was looking for steady entertainment. Not that he had found so far on his search. Finally he was directed from one business to another by an owner. It was another lead and he had no problem strutting over to see if he’d be what they were looking for to fill the position.
The joint was filled with lights of all colors and bumping music that had no soul or depth. The floors were coated with red velvet carpets that were freshly cleaned and the counters were lined with men of all ages and creeds buying drink after drink. As he scanned the staff he noted the huge lack of clothing that actually served its purpose of covering the human form. This was a strip joint.
This was not an ideal place to work, not for the rocker with a strong sense of pride. Could he preform for the job? Of course. But he hadn’t given up all hope, not yet. Despite being half way to the office, Ranmaru turned to leave. Although his plan was to quietly leave, the silver-haired idol almost ran straight into an unfamiliar face. Well, shit.
“Excuse me,” he said as he tried to simply side step them.
