Mahiru watched him stand up, caught the look Shuuhei gave him and continued to watch the other as they headed off to his Uncle’s room. He couldn’t help but think as they disappeared out of his sight, at how awkward it was.
Shuuhei had shown an obvious dislike of Kuro and the other Servamps when they had first met each other back when he had been kidnapped and tested. Those days after the whole fiasco at C3, Mahiru wasn’t all too sure whether Shuuhei still had that dim view of vampires especially after the speech he had given.
Distracted as he was, he startled when Kuro appeared and griped about wanting a bath only to whine at him when Mahiru could only reply that Shuuhei would be using it first. Effectively reminding him to get up and actually get the bath ready.
“-oh Kuro, before I forget, can you get some of my Uncle’s clothes out as well? Clean ones.”
That made Kuro scowl at him even harder, but by that point in their friendship, Mahiru had long since learned to ignore such a look. Especially when he knew Kuro would do as asked regardless, even if he did moan about it.
Watching Kuro disappear, he called after him, “make sure to go give it to Shuuhei and I will make you your favourite food after!” He heard Kuro grunt back and after rolling his eyes, he headed to the bathroom, setting the bath up.
Once it was done, he returned to the living area to see if Shuuhei had come back out yet.
After effectively removing his gun from it’s holster behind his hip, he puts it in the drawer on the nightstand next to the bed, definitely wanting to keep it nearby in case of an emergency, or if Kuro decides to act up in any way towards him. He wouldn’t hesitate to pull the gun out on either of them, if it meant he’d be protecting himself. Mahiru may be young, but he’s pretty powerful when he’s working alongside Kuro. Those two were definitely a force to be reckoned with.
After he’s put his gun away, he pokes around in the bedroom a little, checking the blankets and pillows and sheets, in the closet, under the bed, etc. He just wants to make sure he’s prepared for whatever might come of this time spent in Mahiru’s little apartment.
He walks out of the bedroom once he’s satisfied, glancing over at Mahiru, figuring that since he’s back then that means that his bath was ready and set up for him.
“Thank you, Mahiru-kun,” he murmurs, turning to head into the bathroom to find that everything was prepared for him, though the only setback was when he was about to shut the door, Kuro came into view, holding clothes for him in both of his hands. Shuuhei’s eyes narrow slightly, especially because he feels a little too vulnerable in front of a vampire without his gun on hand, but he doesn’t do anything otherwise. He takes them from Kuro and gives a curt nod, then shuts the door behind him a little too forcefully, before starting to get undressed and ready for his bath.
He spends a good hour or so in there, relaxing and washing himself down with the products provided, not too picky about what he uses, as long as it gets the job done. When he finishes, he gets out and dries himself off, picks up his glasses and puts them back on, before sifting into Mahiru’s uncles clothes. They were a little big, but he’d rather them be bigger than smaller.
Opening the door and stepping out into the living room again, Shuuhei runs a hand through his still damp hair briefly, looking around for Mahiru and Kuro.
“Eh... I finished. Thank you for the clothes.” Shuuhei yawns tiredly after that, though he’s definitely not sleepy enough to go turn in for the night. Instead, he takes a seat on the living room couch again, wondering what they are going to do now to pass the time by.
This would be the hard part.
