what is Lady in the Water, and why would Dobson like it?

Lady In the Water is a 2006 movie by M. Night Shyamalan in which an apartment owner discovers a water nymph(called a Narf in the film-yes, really) who needs to be protected from a wolf monster made of grass(called a Scrunt in the film-yes, really) so that she can inspire a writer. Shyamalan claimed it’s a fairy tale he made up for his kids.

What the film is ACTUALLY about is how M. Night Shyamalan, who plays the writer character in the movie, is so super talented and amazing at writing that his book will inspire a child to be President who leads the world into a golden age, but is so amazing that he(the writer) will be assassinated for his writing and ideas. It also features a character that is literally a strawman of all of Shamalamadingdong’s detractors and critics, called The Critic., who only exist to be shown how lame and stupid he is before being killed by the aforementioned grass wolf demon.

It’s one of the most self-indulgent, self-fellating nonsense movies you can imagine, so you can imagine why a movie about a super amazing “artist” looked down on by the evil smarmy critic would appeal to Dobson.
