I can’t believe I exist in a world where I can wake up to a DM from Blake Lively. 8 year old me would have lost her mind if I told her she’d be able to casually talk to Blake like this. Sigh. Surreal. I am so grateful.

It is really lovely that Taylor and Travis have been intentional about just existing as they are together - whether that be public or private - but have generally remained a bit averse to making outright “announcements” or “statements” about what stage they might be in within their personal relationship with one another but still decided to share this engagement news with the public.

And something about the way they chose to use the word “your” in the post… as in a sharing of the possession of their love with us… is quite sweet. It must be difficult to have so many eyes on you but it has to also be a little nice to know that there are a lot of people celebrating one of the things that makes you happiest and I like knowing that they wanted to create more joy by sharing their own.

Really surreal to have gone from seeing little teenage Taylor writing about the fantasy of love to adult Taylor relishing in her very real one.
