ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The New Mexico Department of Health reported 13 additional COVID-19-related deaths and 1,100 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday.

There are currently 140 individuals hospitalized in New Mexico with COVID-19.

Hospitalizations

140 current hospitalizations The number of hospital beds currently occupied by individuals with COVID-19.

9 ventilated The number of hospitalized individuals with COVID-19 who are using machines to help them breathe. This includes people in the ER who have been put on a breathing machine while waiting for a hospital bed.

Deaths

13 new deaths The total number of people who have died of COVID-19 that the state learned about yesterday.

7,862 cumulative The total number of people who have died with COVID-19 in New Mexico since the beginning of the pandemic.

Cases

1,100 new cases The total number of people with COVID-19 that the state learned about yesterday. Results reported following a weekend or holiday include all new cases since the last update.

542,746 cumulative This case count includes all COVID-19 cases reported to the state from the start of the pandemic through the latest update.

Tests

8,761 new tests The number of COVID-19 tests from a laboratory or medical facility that confirms current COVID-19 infection. All test results received by the state yesterday are counted. Home-based test results are not included.

WA Health is reporting a total of 5,787 new cases to 8pm last night. There are currently 38,598 active cases in Western Australia.

To 8pm last night, there were 290 people with COVID-19 in hospital, 15 in ICU.

Sadly, today’s report includes two new deaths dating back to 3 May which was reported to WA Health yesterday; a man in his 90s and a man in his 70s.

Due to confidentiality requirements, no further information on these cases will be released by the Department.

India reports 4,518 new Covid-19 cases, 9 deaths in last 24 hours

NEW DELHI: India reported 4,518 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union health ministry data. With this, the country's total tally of coronavirus cases rose to 4,31,81,335. It is for the second consecutive day that India reported over 4,000 coronavirus cases. India on Sunday reported 4,270 Covid-19 cases. With 9 fresh fatalities, India's Covid-19 death toll climbed to 5,24,701. The country's active coronavirus caseload currently stands at 25,782. In the last 24 hours, 2,779 people recovered from the infection, taking the total recoveries in the country to 4,26,30,852. According to the health ministry, the active cases comprise 0.06 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate remained at 98.73 per cent. The daily positivity rate was recorded as 1.62 per cent and the weekly positivity rate as 0.91 per cent, according to the ministry.

WA Health is reporting a total of 4,849 new cases to 8pm last night. There are currently 41,244 active cases in Western Australia.

To 8pm last night, there were 279 people with COVID-19 in hospital, 16 in ICU.

Sadly, today’s report includes one new death dating back to 30 May which was reported to WA Health yesterday; a man in his 80s.

Due to confidentiality requirements, no further information on these cases will be released by the Department.
