what is tuamre?

tuamre stands for “the umbrella academy mass rewatch extravaganza”. it is a synchronized rewatch of the show during the months of july and august.

one episode is watched per day, and people post about that episode in particular for that day.

what do i post?

usually a lot of people like to liveblog their thoughts and analyze different details they’ve noticed after a few rewatches.

other options/ideas include

polls about people’s thoughts or perceptions of the episode

what is the history?

the event was originally run in 2023 by @/c0ffeeb1ack. they deserve 1 million respect for creating such a wonderful community event.

in 2024, @/siph-by-induction took up the mantel to synchronize the rewatch for the projected release date of s4, where the end of s3 would transition smoothly into the next season.

now in 2025, a group of some of the original tuamre participants started talking about running the event again. the person running the account is @/nosolaceofastraightanswer (you can call me sol). thanks to @/charcoalowl @/nirby-wirby and @/siph-by-induction, all beloved mutuals who met through the original tuamre in 2023
