Saw this affirmation shared on Facebook recently- and I feel strongly compelled to say- This is the exact OPPOSITE message that we should be sending. What defines a woman's worth is that she is a human. No person can increase or decrease that. She alone controls what she believes about herself, and I pray to the universe that women do not believe that they need to wait for someone else to affirm that. When a woman is loved "correctly", I take that to mean that she is loved by someone who respects her, wants the best for her, and supports her in her decisions. If they truly love her they realize that she chose them to be in her life, and they are not the one to be "saving" or "teaching" her she has worth simply by the act of loving her. If you really think a woman is having trouble realizing her self-worth, support her in finding it, with or without you. If this proves too difficult, I understand- and I hope you are mature enough to step away. Also- "ten times"?? Where the fuck did you get that scientific number in your quest to understand woman's struggles?
