           butch deloria hates alcohol . he hates the smell , the taste , the sound of glass clinking against glass as empty bottles knock against one another . he absolutely hates drunk people , and will not hesitate to pick a fight with you for being drunk if you make him uncomfortable . has most definitely gotten into multiple fights for pouring drinks over people who’ve tried buying him one when he broods at the bar in rivet city .

💜: how long might it take for my muse to say “i love you” for the first time?

                  i think the easiest answer to this question is however long it takes for his partner to say it first lmao , and even  then  he’d  need  a  bit  of  time  practicing  saying  it  before  the  words  stop  feeling  out of place in his mouth ( visualise : butch deloria practicing how to say ‘ i love you ‘ into a mirror , trying to sound casual but he can’t even meet his own eyes in his reflection and keeps looking like he just bit into something sour ) . his first time actually saying it out loud is still rushed and uncertain ( despite the practice :’vc ) , most likely spoken under his breath as he prays to all heavens they don’t actually notice he said anything .

💘: how does my muse act/react when they first realize that they had a crush on somebody?        frustration , most likely . he doesn’t perceive himself as a very likable person ; making romantic feelings very uncomfortable for him as he can barely scrounge up enough charm to even befriend people . typically , I reckon he’d run away from it tbh , most likely blatantly avoiding whoever nestled under his skin in hope that it’ll go away on it’s own .

          if he were to confess anything It’d most definitely be indirect and cryptic , bordering on unintelligible to anyone but himself tbh . he’s not one for taking risks , and is more likely to die trying to coax the other into making the first move than breathing a word of it himself . he’s an overthinking , uncertain Mess ™ , and he’ll rather spend the rest of his life pulling your pigtails than risk loosing face .

              fyi : butch had been in rivet city for just half an hour when he got into his first fight . someone called  him  a  vault  dweller  nd  butch  clocked the guy in the face , breaking his nose before getting bulldozered by the dude’s friends . after the encounter he got rid of his vault suit , nd tried to blame the decision on it being soaked through with grime nd blood from the fight .
