🌹 What does your oc find attractive in other people? Are these traits found in their friends and/or romantic partners? Are they found in themselves?
Sahil
Sahil is attracted to a lot of things, but upon first glance it comes almost entirely down to whether or not the person seems like they're going to take care of his needs, and if they're going to have expectations about it. Sure, superficially, he tends to like bigger men, and kind of graviates towards large men that seem like they'd push back on it if Sahil got bossy; Sahil is used to having to look out for his own needs or not have them met at all. So, while he's prone to try and control the situation from the get-go, it's wildly and immensely attractive to him to have someone take a look at that and say, "No no, I'll be doing that. Sit down."
He's attracted to a casual and easy-going sense of humour; anyone who takes his acceptance of being taken care of as actual submission, or some kind of acceptance of control or ownership outside of a single encounter, is an instant abort; he'll not be negotiating about that, he'll just up and leave. He's not intrinsically afraid of romantic entanglement, per se, but he is afraid of the amount of control and dominion someone might feel that entitles them to. He's going to be attracted to people who right off the bat do not seem to view him as some kind of conquest, or a creature to be tamed and trained.
Soft-spoken DILFs can also dog walk him, for the above reasons.
He doesn't see a whole lot of distinction between a friend and a lover if the attraction is there; he commits more readily to friendship if he hasn't already slept with someone, but it isn't impossible to befriend him afterwards if you have a light touch.

René also has a habit of blurring the line between friend and lover; he can find something to love about just about everyone, and whether or not he views his friends romantically has more to do with what signals he's picking up from them and how they approach him. He's learned the hard way to pay careful attention to whether or not his friends are jealous types, though, and so as he's become older, he will carefully divert the attentions of interested parties towards a platonic outcome if he believes a romantic involvement with him would become painful for them.
It's partially the habit of a people-pleaser, unfortunately; he's attracted to a person's attraction to him, somewhat out of fear that they will lose interest in him entirely if he does not reciprocate in a way that gives them just enough of what they need to stay. He doesn't want to be alone.
He has a penchant for pretty eyes and people with interesting features -- something unusal about them that makes them distinct, be it the timbre of their voice, or a marking on their skin.
He falls in love with people who are bold, and people who are kind, and people who fluster sweetly when they're embarrassed, and people who cry when they're sad. Genuinely, he gravitates towards people when they are at their most honest, no matter what that honesty looks like. He likes people who are easy to know, and easy to predict, and easy to tell what it is that they need and how to fulfill those needs.
He doesn't see many of these traits in himself.
