The “Crazy Girl” music video is here! Thanks to our friends at Let ‘ Em Have It! Productions for making this incredible video - Share it please! xoxox
Who are the Turbulent Hearts?
With the arrival of the Crazy Girl EP, Los Angeles punk & roll paragons the Turbulent Hearts don’t merely cement an already solid reputation, they elevate it to a radical new altitude. Bandleader-songwriter Suzi Moon, who made her bones as a teenage terror with big sis Liza Grave’s globally infamous all-female Civet in the early 00’s, conjures high-voltage guitar thrills and intense soul-baring vocals that combine for a richly satisfying flurry of musical knock out punches. Urged on with volcanic velocity by killer rhythm section of bassist Mark Johnson and drummer Jay Skowronek, Turbulent Heart’s raging emotional veracity and sheer, roaring oomph rates the band as an unrivaled force.
Crazy Girl, crafted and developed in a painstaking, progressive series of methodical fits and starts over a nine month period, is sister to the band’s acclaimed previous two EP’s, The Rage and The Panic, completing a powerhouse trilogy of discs that bristle with feverish energy and deeply felt conviction. The band’s raw, momentous zeal alone is astonishing, but Moon’s involvement, unblinking lyrical realism and aggressively creative attack pushes everything into a ninth dimension of perfected, highly expressive punk rock.
Formed in 2014, the Turbulent Hearts quickly distinguished themselves via their uncanny knack for delivering reliably cataclysmic performances, always throwing down a raging cyclone of songs rendered with downright mesmerizing ferocity. Moon’s mixture of communicative lyrics and explosive musicality has both an irresistible appeal and an undeniable ring of truth to it; “I describe my style as pure punk.” Moon has said. “I'm not faking it. I want to bring a tingle to your spine.” - Jonny Whiteside, LA Weekly
