Silver linings. We're all told to look for them, especially when we're faced with challenging circumstances and perceived "hard timesā. Sometimes they can be hard to see. But trust me they are there if you look hard enough. I've been looking for mine, and boy itās been hard. But Iāve got there. A couple of days ago my wallet was stolen with all my cards, ID and even my US Greencard. Itās been challenging. And also interesting timing since a few days ago I just posted a video about how lucky I was to win my Greencard, along with some things Iām learning from acting classes. Iāve felt violated. Iāve felt stupid. Iāve blamed myself for somehow attracting this. Iāve felt like a victim. But Iāve also made myself look for the silver linings. Hereās what I found: Silver lining #1 I am so grateful that for some reason my main ATM card was not in my wallet but in my pocket so I am still the only person to have access to my funds. Silver lining #2 All my banks noticed suspicious behaviour on my accounts and declined almost all the attempted fraudulent transactions. Silver lining #3 The only transaction that partly went through was for a jewelry purchase at an online store in New York. A shipping address was supplied that must be somehow connected to the thieves. Silver lining #4 The people who stole my wallet tried to purchase something in the same store where they stole it. The store has clear surveillance footage of them and is turning it over to the detective assigned to my case. And MOST importantly: Silver lining #5 I AM OK I am totally safe and still have everything that I need, and know that I always will have, regardless of what may happen around me. I have internal conviction. I have faith. I have self-belief. I know who I am, even if someone tries to steal my identity. And I have access to an infinite source of everything I want and need: money, career, relationships and good health.
