TIFFANY HAS COME SUCH A LONG WAY AND I AM SO PROUD.
I feel like whenever Roald Dahl wrote children characters he was trying to make each one more depraved and miserable than the last. So by the time he wrote James and the Giant peach he had to top Charlie Bucket being broke with lazy grandparents and Matilda being the only smart member of a verbally abusive family and got SO frustrated trying to think of a way to make this character miserable until finally he just gave up and pulled out
“Fuck it. Ya know what. His fuckin parents got eaten by a rhino. Also his only friends are bugs. And he lives in fruit. I don’t care anymore”
