About Me
I am Jessica Hunt, I'm 24 years old and I am currently in my Third and final year at the University of Portsmouth where I study BSc (Hons)Television and Broadcasting. I am also Producer and presenter on the show called That's Music which is on the channel called That's Solent (freeview ch8), this show is a daily late night Music channel that goes live weekdays 9pm- midnight, sat 7pm-10pm, sun 7pm- midnight to the Solent area, covering places like Portsmouth, Southampton and Isle of Wight.
The Television and Broadcasting course Interested me because of how varied it seemed; I was right, so I soon realised I needed to select a few skills to home in on that I wanted to work on specifically to further me in my career; I chose Directing, Writing and presenting(radio, tv & voiceover). I also have enjoyed some other aspects to the course such as graphics- which cover a number of systems such as Photoshop, SketchUp, After Effects, Illustrator and more. So over all I feel I am confident in a number of skills acquired from this University course, which became really helpful when I came into my third year as the workload was in high demand because we as a year group were required to produce weekly live shows on the faculty run channel called CCI TV - http://www.ccichannel.port.ac.uk/
In this blog I will be discussing in detail how each show I worked on or supported went overall and from an individual perspective; covering each issue tackled, the variety and requirements of each show, successes and general reflection of the show on the CCI TV channel.
