there’s this little old lady (probably late 80s) at the aaron tveit meet and greet tonight; her background on her ipad is a shirtless picture of him and she showed everybody (including him) and he laughed, and then during the Q&A someone asked him when the last time he tripped was and he said the other day but who knows, he might trip tonight, and the little old lady asked if he trips tonight can she give him mouth to mouth, and he laughed awkwardly and said “if i need mouth to mouth, please do”

aaron tveit made a post on instagram in support of the salvation army and a bunch of people commented like “aaron i’m sure you just don’t know but the SA is really homophobic, i know you wouldn’t support them if you knew that” and everybody was wonderfully kind and calm, and then aaron commented like “i had no idea, i’m sorry, of course i don’t support that and i apologize” and everybody handled the situation perfectly….. but now a bunch of stans are commenting like “you have nothing to be sorry for!!!!!! everybody needs to stop being so mean and just calm down and stop with the name-calling!!!!!! aaron you’re perfect and good for you for supporting charity!!!!!!” and my eyes are rolling back in my head so far i can see my brain cells dying

To be honest, it's ok for people telling him about that organisation's views, but some others just threw him under the bus. Like blaming Aaron by saying 'shame on you Aaron' for posting something about an organisation which HE DIDN'T KNOW was homophobic. That's why these people are telling him not to apologise. Praising charity doesn't mean he supports homophobia.

Oh right, so people commenting things like “shame on you” and “when bae supports homophobic charities” are totally polite and reasonable comments 😐

I would agree with your post about how silly the recent comments on Aaron’s insta are, but I don’t think everyone who commented prior to that was being respectful or simply informing him (as you’ve described it). Some were crossing the line & commenting with attitude and entitlement, demanding he apologise for being ‘homophobic’. Which pisses me off, because it’s pretty obvious he wouldn’t support a homophobic charity, he just needed to be informed (as you said).
