Season 3 For Sister’s Slam Dunk
Recently, I’ve been watching Sister’s Slam Dunk Season 2 which is a Korean reality show with 7 cast members who team up and trained like Kpop Idols. Not only did they learn a dance routine, create a song, and film a music video for the song, the 7 cast members performed at Music Bank which is a highlight for any singer. The cast members consisted of 7 different women with professions ranging from actress to singers to comedians.
In the show, 4 out of 7 of the cast members aren’t singers and their singing aren’t the best. Firstly, the comedians, Jinkyung (the one in the center with the black stockings) and Sook (the one with the denim jumpsuit) are worried about what they’d sound like. Yewon, (actress) (the one on the right side with a white-gray skirt) shares her struggle with singing and the trauma she had. Chae-young (actress) (the one of the very far right with the blue bow and skirt) reveals that she was never one to sing or dance and it was a side of her that not even her husband had seen. There are, however, 3 singers on the show, two of which are Kpop idols, Minzy (the one with ombre blonde hair) and Somi (the one with blue socks) and one trot singer, Jinyoung (the one of the very far end of the left side) and they helped guide the group in singing and dancing with some of their tips and suggestions. With Minzy and Somi, we get to see some cool skills that many idol stars have which is their ability to quickly learn the dance moves and how effortless they sang the notes. Throughout the show, you get to see how everyone improved their singing to create a beautiful song.
This was the first Korean reality show that I’ve seen with an all-women cast so it was very exciting. There were heartwarming moments between the cast that really showed how close they all became. There were also some tear-jerking moments too. You wouldn’t believe how many times I teared while watching this show because of how proud I felt. Not only that but all of the ladies are so humorous in the show. From cracking jokes to making light of a serious situation, there’s not a single episode that fails to make me laugh.
Look at the aesthetics of their music video:
I hope that those who read this article will watch it and hope that there’s a season 3. If you’re a fan of the show or if you just started and would like to see a season 3, please sigh this petition to have it renewed. Thank you so much!!
