Til The Last Gasp || Hyojung & Jongin
“Don’t underestimate me Jongin. I’ve handled bigger pieces of trash in less time on my own.” Hyojung practically hisses as she also looks down at what she considers to be a piece of shit. She wasn’t really sure what the stranger want to do with this kind of machine and couldn’t bring herself to care. Hyojung wasn’t the type to question people’s reasoning as long as she got what she needed at the end of the day. However today it didn’t seem like she would be.
Her eyes met his chocolate ones again and she was no more pleased now then she was 10 minutes ago. Easily her eyes rolled and she scoffed at his seemingly childish commentary. “Oh shut up…I am not that much older then you are. Brat.” she grumbled, letting her shoulders drop in minute defeat.
Part of her was tempted to kick the male’s ass simply to let out what was left of her frustration. Her body moved on it’s own but suddenly froze at the sharp familiar sound of a gun being fired. Without a moment of hesitation she ducked and before she knew it she was being pulled behind some boxes. The remaining shots fired proved that they were no longer alone in the large space. At the male’s commentary her head whipped around to look at him. A displeased looked crossed her features before she moved to pull her pistol from her back pocket, checking for whatever ammo she had left. “God…you’re obnoxious.”
“You love me,” a wide toothy grin found its way onto the male’s features as he drew his trusty bow and arrow combo. He had brought along his shotgun, but he didn’t see a need for it as of the moment - They didn’t need to attract more attention with this fight that was about to ensue. Jongin wasn’t even sure how much backup the dude brought along, but he was more than sure him and Hyojung would have no difficulty taking all of them out. As long as they watched each other’s backs, this was nothing more than another assignment that required them to kill-.. For self defense, of course.
Another few shots fired in their direction, and Jongin flinched at the deafening noise. “We don’t want any trouble, we’re just waiting for our client.” Shouting back a reply, he signalled for Hyojung to back him up, and she fired a few quick warning shots upwards to get them to back off before retreating. The warehouse was rather bare, but there was a door across on the other side that looked like it led to another room. It definitely wasn’t completely safe, but it would give them more coverage than their current position. “I’m gonna go check out that room, if it can get us to the second floor we can get a better angle on them, think you can cover me for now?”
But the boy was never one to wait for a confirmation, and before the elder knew it, he was already halfway across the warehouse.
