When the other stopped, Luhan felt relieved. It meant Kyungsoo wanted to talk, right? He knew he shouldn’t be so frustrated when it was his own fault but he couldn’t help it. He had spent years thinking and wondering if Kyungsoo was dead and it had killed him. Do Kyungsoo was the one person in his messed up life who had brought happiness and life into his otherwise dull existence. Leaving him was the worst thing Lu Han had ever had to do.

The blonde nodded and made his way over to the younger, smiling softly. He adored Kyungsoo’s smile and, even though it was just for a brief moment, that smile was directed towards him. And everything that had happened seemed to disappear and all that was left was him and Kyungsoo. He sighed happily and looked around at the destroyed and fragile world before them. Despite their circumstances, Lu Han was once again happy now that he’s found his once love.

He refused to look at the other as he spoke. “Where to start?” He sighed. “Before I met you, and before I came to Korea, I was going through some horrible stuff. I did things to survive that I’m not proud of. I got caught and was meant to go to jail but I fled to Korea. That’s when I met you. I had forgotten that life and focused on my new one with you. But the night we broke up, I had visitors. They were from the Chinese police force. They extradited me back to China where I was made to serve out my sentence. I not long got out. Once I was released I came over here to find you. I had hoped you were still alive and that nothing had happened to you. I’m glad to see you’re safe.”

Kyungsoo listened and let Luhan speak without interrupting him. It was the least he could do after being such an ass earlier when Luhan had offered to explain himself and he had downright turned it down. It was a dumb act now that he thinks about it since it’s the only thing he’s wanted to have since Luhan had disappeared on him but Luhan’s refusing to look at him properly and he wasn’t sure how he feels about that. A part of him wanted the elder to look up at him so he could make sure Luhan wasn’t just making any excuses for the sake of coming clean, but a part of him was also scared he’d see nothing but the truth in Luhan’s eyes because if he’s being honest, he’s unsure of how he’ll react.

And he definitely didn’t expect Luhan’s explanation.

It was silent for a long while as Kyungsoo let the information sink in. He had had his own version of the reason why Luhan suddenly left without telling anyone but being caught by the police and being sent to jail had never even crossed his mind. He suddenly felt bad about hating Luhan after all this time but could he blame him?

“H-hyung I—”Kyungsoo blinks, finding himself at a loss of words as he continued to stare at Luhan who’s had his eyes glued on the ground still. “I’m glad you’re alive and well too…” he croaks out as guilt crawls up his system and he bites his lip. He wanted to apologize so badly, to run towards Luhan and hug the life out of the elder because he had missed him terribly despite his reluctance moments ago. It was his turn to look down on the ground, suddenly too emotional and he hates it. You’d think after all these years he’s gotten stronger emotionally yet here he is, on the brink of tears when he’s angry just a while ago.

“A lot has happened though hyung but… I’m glad you’re okay…” was the only thing he could say, the words he wanted to tell him getting stuck at the back of his throat.

“Of course it matters! I think.. I don’t know. I like to think my handsome face gets me more deals with other people.” The brunette emphasized his point by stroking his jawline, a smug expression finding its way on his features. He was joking - Handsome was never a word he associated himself with, no matter how many compliments he got from other people, he still thinks his only attractive point would be his physique that he’s built over the years. But the huge eye roll Kyungsoo did in an attempt to hide his grin led Jongin to think that maybe the younger did agree with the other people who found him good looking.

Rolling onto his stomach, he carelessly looked over the rifle in his hand, before reluctantly standing back up and bringing the entire bag of firearm to the mattress. It was far too comfortable for him to dedicate standing at his work desk. “Either way, you know what I mean.” Jongin puckered his lips as he rummaged through the guns, somewhat glad he was down to the last few, but he wasn’t ready for the other to go just yet. “Use that pretty face to find your significant other. I know it’s the apocalypse, and love should be the last thing anyone should be thinking about, but.. It’s probably nice to have someone around, don’t you think?” The hunter shrugged-.. He wouldn’t know, he hasn’t got a clue what love feels like at all. “Gives us some kind of hope that the world we live in doesn’t suck that bad.”

To think about it, Jongin himself is rather surprised he hadn’t been in a relationship. There were tiny crushes here and there all throughout his school years, sure - But he assumes the outbreak occurred far too early before he got a chance to confess to anyone, much less get into a relationship, go on dates or to prom, and do all of those couple-y things. And with the entire situation, the circumstances aren’t exactly ideal for anyone to go out and fall in love. But the fact that he was already 21, and he’s yet to experience anything of the sort (much less sexual situations), saddened him quite a bit. A drawn out sigh left plump lips as he inspected yet another shotgun.

“Have you ever been in love, Soo?”

Kyungsoo wasn’t sure if he wanted to laugh out loud at the smug expression on Jongin’s face or to hit him square with a pillow but ends up doing both. He had always been attracted to Jongin since their first meeting but up till now he’s unsure of the reason behind it. Sometimes he’s sure it’s because he misses his older brother terribly and Jongin’s similarities to his deceased hyung helps with overcoming the guilt and the feeling of missing someone dear to you. Sometimes it’s the smile, look and touches that are either intimate or platonic but that too is confusing to him. One thing he’s sure about though is he enjoys the time he spends with the hunter though he only visits the elder when he’s got enough firearms for him to check.

The course of their conversation had started to make him uncomfortable, unwanted memories and familiar faces he had kept pushing at the back of his mind resurfacing by the second and he’s not sure he likes how it’s all happening at such a fast pace. He understood what Jongin was saying but wasn’t sure if he’d allow himself to believe he had a significant other somewhere out there when the one person who thought to be the one bailed out on him. He was young and it hurt like hell and he’s not sure if he wanted to experience that again. It was bad enough he had to think about surviving, he doesn’t need some depressing heartbreak to deal with. Jongin’s question still stands though and he heaves out a heavy sigh, nibbling on his lips in worry and nervousness.

“…I have,” Kyungsoo replies softly, hesitating for a split-second before scooting over to bury his face on the pillow in case he burst out into tears—which sounds ridiculous by the way but he has his moments of vulnerability. “At least, I think I was? I’m not sure anymore,” he says, his voice muffled by the pillow. He wasn’t sure if he had been actually in love with that person or the thought of being in love. Either way what they had was real but it doesn’t stop him from feeling angry when the guy disappeared on him after a fight.

“Love sucks,” he mumbles instead and turned his head to look back at Jongin with a pout.

ga-in taps the blunt side of her blade against the side of her neck as she walks, soft hum resonating in the back of her throat. she had just come from visiting a friend in the free zone and was making her way back to the safety of kangwon. there wasn’t much going on today and truthfully she was bored— the normal nuisance of bandits seemed to have taken a vacation, walkers weren’t around. it was almost as if everything were purposely avoiding her. which would have been fine normally if she hadn’t gone an entire week without fighting anything.

she needs to do something to keep her busy, to get her mind off of the horrors that goes on around her. but not so much that it overwhelms her and she has her back against the wall. that kind of thrill only came from being attack by moronic bandits that didn’t know any better. her size made her a target— she was small and docile, a seemingly perfect toy for a man much larger than she. but things on her end seemed too quiet on her end.

that is until she spots a man entering an abandoned store with a hoard of walkers inching towards the store in question direction. her lips press together into a thin line as she debates on going over to help the kid, or letting him figure out what was going to happen to him on his own. possibly dying in the process. her head tilts to the side as she weighs out her options. going to help him could result in her own death— but if they both survived she’d gain a possible friend our the equation. maybe, he could be of some use to her later down the road.

after all, what’s life without a little thrill.

with a roll of her eyes she jogs over towards the store not quite giving a damn if the walkers see her or not— they were already heading that way anyways. she bursts into the store eyes searching for the male. “hey kid, we need to go. like now.”

It was a small mistake of dropping something made of glass in his haste to try and get away the moment he spots a walker that had him running his way for cover, the small herd of walkers just behind him and he cursed under his breath. Kyungsoo kept his hand on his backpack and rifle to keep them from making any more unnecessary noises. The last thing he needs is for the number of walkers after him to multiply. He needed ammunition just in case though and though everything’s in his backpack he’ll need a moment to reload because believe it or not, his rifle’s currently empty.

Kyungsoo spots an empty store and not a second was wasted before he steps in, running to the very back of the store but kept himself near the glass window. Worst case scenario is that the walkers enter the store too but they’ll need to use the gaping entrance so he’ll need to make his escape through the windows. He quickly moved to reload his gun, grabbing the bat from the backpack and hiding ammunition in his pockets too for easy access before slinging his backpack back behind him. Just as he unlocked the gun, ready to fire he hears a female voice coming from the entrance and sees another survivor standing there. He took a moment to look behind her and sees they still have time to get away and find some other place to hide.

“Okay, let’s go,” he agreed and gave her a small nod before walking over to her and trailed behind her, covering her back just in case as they made their way away from the herd of walkers. It’s only a matter of time before another group of walkers spots them though and he feels it before it happens.

Giants Are Real || Kyungsoo&Kwangsoo

Kwangsoo hardly ever got embarrassed, even with his stupid antics. It was not a word that stood out in his dictionary. It was more of the other way round– him making people feel embarrassed for him instead.

Therefore, even though he looked silly waving his weapon in the air, he didn’t actually care. His life was more important, and there was a giant walker on the loose.

Supposedly. 

Until he heard the same voice from earlier on again, telling him that he mistook him for a giant walker… giant? He looked around, and took quite a while to spot the person on the ground. Oh.

“I didn’t see you there.” Was that blunt of him? Most probably. But it was the truth that he did not see the guy. He could blame it on the lack of light in the dark, or that because the guy wasn’t even at his eye-level. Well, then again most people were never at his eye-level and he usually towered over them.

“Ah, yes we should,” he nodded his head in agreement, his machete still in his hand just in case they did meet any walkers. “Why are you out here in the night? Are you lost as well?”

As much as he dreaded it, Kwangsoo had come to realize that he was actually lost. He couldn’t even understand why his surrounding and the usual paths looked so different than they were during the day.

Even when he’s standing straight on his feet he couldn’t help but notice the huge height difference. Kyungsoo knew he’s already a little below height average for the male population in their small country but this is just ridiculous. He could barely reach the stranger’s neck and hearing the man saying something in the lines of not being able to see him just made his eye twitch in annoyance. It’s not his fault that people like this stranger in front of him was born with alien genetics or something.

“Yeah well, it’s dark and I’m wearing black so…” Kyungsoo said with a shrug, thankful of the dark that allowed him to pout freely without feeling embarrassed. It’s not entirely a lie though since he’s accustomed to wear black in his nightly rounds for better camouflage. That plus he’d rather think that it’s because of his natural blending in abilities that made it hard for the giant stranger to spot him and not because he looked like some actual hobbit.

Kyungsoo beckoned the man with his head to follow him before replying. “I go out at night to check and set-up traps before I go on ahead to raid empty places for supplies,” he said before turning around and walked with careful steps, his voice already turning soft. They’ve both been too noisy enough for the night they need to get away from the area silently. “Why, are you lost… uhm… mister?” he asked, his head turned slightly to look behind him as he did so.

Just In Time || Kyungsoo&Jungsuk

Jungsuk noticed when the kid didn’t pull out another weapon, which meant he didn’t have anything besides the gun. That was less than ideal, but there was nothing for it now. He could hear the walkers following them, but Jungsuk tried to focus on listening for any other hoards or any other signs of danger. He kept a tight grip on his hatchet.

He hurried along the path he’d originally taken, every now and then glancing over his shoulder to check on the kid. It soon became clear that the kid was flagging–too much. Dangerously so. He was panting, chest heaving, and when he spoke, he stuttered over the first word. They had managed to put some distance between them and the hoard, but they were still within earshot. Some of the faster ones were already making their way back into the line of sight.

“Mostly,” Jungsuk said. A lone walker popped out from an alley on the right, so he veered toward it and split its skull, dropping it. The impact made his hands stick, but he hatchet didn’t catch in the bone. Jungsuk corrected his course, hurrying back to the direction he had been going. “Do you need a place we can hole up for a little while?”

There were a few places he could think of that might offer some temporary relief. Enough that the kid might be able to catach his breath for a few minutes, at least. Or so he hoped.

Kyungsoo was so out of his head, too focused on trying to keep from wheezing from the way his lungs felt like burning and his throat drying up that the walker that seemed to appear out of nowhere shocked him. He was able to keep from screaming though so that’s a good thing. He’d rather not give their position away from the walkers in pursuit of them. They’ve managed to shake off most of the walkers but one can never be too sure. Some might just be wandering nearby and one wrong move could catch their attention and he really didn’t want to add any more walkers to run away from today.

A moment to catch his breath sounds lovely though and he doesn’t have enough energy left to give the man a decent reply but managed to nod his head, stumbling over his own feet for a moment. He could only hope the place they find for temporary shelter will have some water or he’d suffer from severe dehydration aside from his throat being in desperate need of water.

Kyungsoo wasn’t sure how long they have been running, his body moving on autopilot to save the last bits of his energy and he’s thankful he hadn’t collapsed yet. It’ll be such bad timing to pass out while trying to get away from a wave after all that’s why he wasn’t entirely sure if he wanted to scream in happiness or cry silently when they’ve finally reached a some kind of clearing. It was a bittersweet moment really since it’ll be hard to hide from the walkers in this place but they kept running, Kyungsoo falling behind a bit as he slowed to a jog before entirely stopped.

“I-I need a moment,” he breathes hopefully his voice was loud enough for the man to hear as he bent over his knees to catch his breath, gasping and coughing as he felt his eyes sting from breathlessness. He pulled down his mask with shaky hands, hoping it was enough for him to catch his breath a little better. He allowed himself to rest for a few minutes before they need to get going again. Knowing the only safe place is somewhere that had a door and a roof.

"Zip Me"

Drabble about yourcharacter dressing mine

It’s practically ridiculous to fall sick in summer butunfortunately for Kyungsoo, he’s ridiculous enough to catch a cold and a feverin the middle of summer. It’s a bad one too, the kind that practically pinnedhim on the bed, the smallest of movements making his joints hurt, his throatburns with his nose is red and running. He’s both disgusting and bed ridden atthe moment it’s actually sad but it’s not like he can do anything about it.

Jiyeon’s offering to help him get back to health was ablessing to be honest or he’s sure he’d either starve to death or something. Itwas a good thing he had stocked up on supplies too so they were both able tosurvive a few days without hunting—though Jiyeon still did his usual job whilehe’s busy passing out on the bed in an attempt to recuperate. Unfortunatelythough fever and summer meant sweating too much and Kyungsoo needed to changehis shirt every few often or he’s going to stay sick—except he actually can’tmove from how painful his muscles feel.

With a sigh, Jiyeon pulls him up and helps him lean hisback on the headboard before she’s yanking the shirt off of him. Kyungsoo couldhave blush but he’s too tired to even try and think of anything that’s notrelated to sleeping. A sponge bath was in place and he couldn’t help but feellike a child being taken care of like this.

“I miss mom,” Kyungsoo mumbles sleepily just as Jiyeonhad helped him into a new shirt. He thinks he heard Jiyeon chuckle as shehelped him lie back down on the mattress and it wasn’t long until he’s beingpulled back to sleep. He reaches out to grab on Jiyeon’s hand though, his eyesclothes and already half asleep. “Stay, mommy,” he said and he feels a pat onthe head before he really fell asleep.

“Break Me”

An angsty drabble about our characters.

Telling someone of his problems and secrets should havemade him feel better but it didn’t. If anything it made him more paranoid, thethoughts that plagued his minds doubled—tripled­even as it constantly replayed the memory he’s believed he’s able to burry inthe deepest parts of his mind. It’s there, seemingly burned permanently at theback of his eyelids that he’s afraid to close his eyes.

Sleep deprivation only made the nightmares return,leaving him screaming and sweating on his bed as he jolts awake, bile rising uphis throat at the horrifying image. It’s like reliving the past and he regretsever telling anyone about it. Eventually Kyungsoo stopped eating thinking hewouldn’t be able to throw up if he did, but his energy was running low and withnothing but acid to heave out he passes out just as Min had come to visit him.

Kyungsoo sees himself in the mirror, his parents andbrother standing behind him and heaves out a sigh, tears falling from his eyesas he reached out. Blood splattered as his mother fell down, then his fatherand half of his face was covered in blood by the time his brother fell lifelessbeside his parents. He tried to scream but heard nothing but silence.

The smell of iron fills his nose and he felt sick, hisknees giving in and he’s kneeling in a pool of blood. The red inched upwards,reaching his chin until he was drowning.

Kyungsoo abruptly opened his eyes and was met by armshugging him tight, his own hands clutching onto the person’s clothes like hislife depended on it. “You’re okay…” said a female’s voice and It took him a momentto realize he was screaming and crying. His throat hurts, his eyes stung butthe soothing voice calmed him down. “You’re okay, Kyungsoo. Noona’s here,everything’s okay.” Kyungsoo knew right then who it was and he immediatelyhugged Min tighter, her hold the only thing keeping him from completelybreaking down.

Lost || Kyungsoo&Ravi

There’s a sigh of relief that leaves him when he feels the dreaded jaws come loose, however, there’s an entirely new wave of pain that rushes through him when air hit the open wound. “Fuck.” This certainly wasn’t what Ravi had in mind when he left for supplies earlier this morning, but he supposes with the world that they currently live in, beggars couldn’t be choosers, and notion of shit happens was an everyday moto in his life.

Despite how grateful he is to the other for freeing him, his feelings of contempt outweigh his feelings of gratitude, because if it hadn’t been for his stupid ass traps in the first place, Ravi wouldn’t have to be thanking him for anything. “Food.” He remarks, a hint of venom in his voice. “I’m far from being food, trust me.” He’s heard of the ones whom feed off of human flesh, but he hasn’t been unfortunate enough to run into anyone like that yet.

Once the trap is far enough away from him that he’s certain he isn’t accidentally going to be getting caught in it once again, Ravi pressed his palms to the ground beneath him and attempts to push himself up, using his good leg for leverage. However, he’s so used to putting both feet on the ground that the moment he attempts to put any kind of weight on the injured leg, a strained cry leaves him, and he loses all balance, tumbling backwards again.

“Of course I can’t walk.” He stares at the other boy as though he has three heads, because really, what kind of a dumbass question was that. He hates having to admit defeat, even more so when he has to accept help from another, but there really wasn’t any other way that he was going to be getting out of here. He allows the other man to help him to his feet, and he leans his weight against the smaller boy’s side. “How far is a bit of a walk?” He questions, an eyebrow raised. Ravi can’t even put weight on his leg without wanting to scream, so he isn’t sure this walk is such a good idea.

The urge to exaggeratedly roll his eyes was too strong he barely had time to stop himself from doing it as he steadied the man up by the hips with one hand, the other securing the arm draped over his shoulders. It was an awkward position if he really thinks about it since there was a bit of a height difference, but that was something normal for him. Everyone just seemed to be much taller than him for some reason he concludes. “I don’t eat people,” he retorts with a grimace and an involuntary shiver before he could even stop himself because really, the mere thought of it is disgusting.

Once they were both steady on their feet Kyungsoo immediately tried calculating the distance between his place and their current location, biting his lip in concentration. It wasn’t much of a walk but considering a badly injured leg it’ll be a very long one and he really didn’t want to worsen the injury anymore. The man was clearly in pain and they weren’t walking yet, what more when they start moving? Kyungsoo sighed as he thought about the possibility of giving the stranger a piggy back ride. He knew he wasn’t as muscular as the next guy but it’s not like he had any other choice either so with a sigh he maneuvers himself in front of the man, contemplating between crouching or staying still to carry the man on his back because really, he doesn’t need to crouch anymore.

“It’s a bit of a walk but with an injured leg it will seem farther,” Kyungsoo explains over his shoulder, trying his best not to glance at the injured leg with worry and failed. “I don’t really want you putting weight on that leg so might as well try and carry you all the way there,” he adds and readied himself for the added weight. It felt like forever really and he couldn’t believe he was holding his breath all the while but when all of the stranger’s weight falls on his back he staggers a bit and he starts walking.

It was a weird sight if you think about it. He ends up half dragging half carrying the man on his back, like some huge sack of rice and he’s resisting the urge to whine about the stranger being too heavy because that’s rude. But Kyungsoo’s small built can only take so much before his legs starts wobbling and they finally fell, Kyungsoo choosing to cushion their fall in order to not injure the guy more than he already is and he groans, too annoyed to even think about the fact that he’s actually squished. “We need a better plan that this,” he murmurs, refusing to move from his spot to relax his muscles.

Alive || Kyungsoo&Sehun

Sehun’s expression doesn’t change, not until the other introduces himself as Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo, he repeats to himself mentally, and it’s almost as though there’s something that clicks when he hears the name. “It’s farfetched but—what’s your last name?” He questions, an eyebrow raised. Now that he knows the other’s name, his curiosity has been irked.

“I’m only asking because I knew a Kyungsoo before all of this…” He mentions absent mindedly, though he isn’t too sure why he’s mentioning it at all. It’s probably a total coincidence that the other boy in front of him had the same name his childhood friend did—or was it? It couldn’t be that much of a coincidence that this strange knew his name, and shares the name of someone he used to know.

There’s a part of Sehun that wants to believe that this is the Kyungsoo that he had lost so many years ago, because maybe then there would be a small ray of sunshine in this hellhole. It’s wishful thinking, he knows, and despite knowing that he probably shouldn’t be getting his hopes up over something like this, he can’t help but feel the corners of his lips twitch as they threaten to tug his frown into a smile.

Sehun hates how little things like this get him riled up, because he knows that his world is just going to come crashing down when the other boy tells him his last name. There’s no way it’s going to match his old friend’s, but that isn’t stopping the childlike wonder glistening in Sehun’s eyes as he waits for a reply from the other. Who knows, perhaps today is going to be Sehun’s lucky day after all.

There was a blank look in his eyes after Sehun’s question reached his ears, his brows furrowing slowly as he looked at the other suspiciously. To say that he’s confused was an understatement, not to mention he was starting to be hopeful that this Sehun and the childhood friend he thought he had lost forever. Kyungsoo hated the expectant beating of his heart knowing he’ll end up annoyed at everything when he finds out he had his hopes up for nothing.

The silence that fell between them was uncomfortable though there’s a possibility that it’s just him being naturally awkward. Kyungsoo shifts his weight on his legs nervously, pushing the past memories at bay. This really isn’t a good time to start reminiscing about the past and if he’s being honest he’d rather not remember particular parts of it. Talk about feeling bittersweet huh?

“Do. My last name is Do,” Kyungsoo replied finally after breathing out a sigh and shrugged nonchalantly. It would be rude not to give a reply even when he thinks it wouldn’t matter. He tried to convince himself that this Sehun knowing another Kyungsoo is just another crazy coincidence, like how he knew another Sehun from the past. There are a number of people who had the same name as them anyway so it wouldn’t be that weird. But still, he couldn’t shake off the feeling of familiarity the more they talked to each other, especially when this Sehun falls silent and has that eerily familiar blank expression on. He only knew of one person who could pull off a bitch face like that and still looked decent though undoubtedly intimidating.

Jungsuk noticed when the kid didn’t pull out another weapon, which meant he didn’t have anything besides the gun. That was less than ideal, but there was nothing for it now. He could hear the walkers following them, but Jungsuk tried to focus on listening for any other hoards or any other signs of danger. He kept a tight grip on his hatchet.

He hurried along the path he’d originally taken, every now and then glancing over his shoulder to check on the kid. It soon became clear that the kid was flagging–too much. Dangerously so. He was panting, chest heaving, and when he spoke, he stuttered over the first word. They had managed to put some distance between them and the hoard, but they were still within earshot. Some of the faster ones were already making their way back into the line of sight.

“Mostly,” Jungsuk said. A lone walker popped out from an alley on the right, so he veered toward it and split its skull, dropping it. The impact made his hands stick, but he hatchet didn’t catch in the bone. Jungsuk corrected his course, hurrying back to the direction he had been going. “Do you need a place we can hole up for a little while?”

There were a few places he could think of that might offer some temporary relief. Enough that the kid might be able to catach his breath for a few minutes, at least. Or so he hoped.

Kyungsoo was so out of his head, too focused on trying to keep from wheezing from the way his lungs felt like burning and his throat drying up that the walker that seemed to appear out of nowhere shocked him. He was able to keep from screaming though so that’s a good thing. He’d rather not give their position away from the walkers in pursuit of them. They’ve managed to shake off most of the walkers but one can never be too sure. Some might just be wandering nearby and one wrong move could catch their attention and he really didn’t want to add any more walkers to run away from today.

A moment to catch his breath sounds lovely though and he doesn’t have enough energy left to give the man a decent reply but managed to nod his head, stumbling over his own feet for a moment. He could only hope the place they find for temporary shelter will have some water or he’d suffer from severe dehydration aside from his throat being in desperate need of water.

Kyungsoo wasn’t sure how long they have been running, his body moving on autopilot to save the last bits of his energy and he’s thankful he hadn’t collapsed yet. It’ll be such bad timing to pass out while trying to get away from a wave after all that’s why he wasn’t entirely sure if he wanted to scream in happiness or cry silently when they’ve finally reached a some kind of clearing. It was a bittersweet moment really since it’ll be hard to hide from the walkers in this place but they kept running, Kyungsoo falling behind a bit as he slowed to a jog before entirely stopped.

“I-I need a moment,” he breathes hopefully his voice was loud enough for the man to hear as he bent over his knees to catch his breath, gasping and coughing as he felt his eyes sting from breathlessness. He pulled down his mask with shaky hands, hoping it was enough for him to catch his breath a little better. He allowed himself to rest for a few minutes before they need to get going again. Knowing the only safe place is somewhere that had a door and a roof.

A fluffy drabble about my character trying to woo yoursAU where Kyungsoo has a crush on Jongin

Kyungsoo has never been the romantic type of guy, thelast time he’s been romantically involved with someone being centuries ago andhe means it when he says he’s practically clueless and useless with anythingthat has to do with trying to impress someone and it’s the first time he’s everreally wanted someone’s attention. It makes him antsy and nervous, because hewasn’t sure if it’s because he’s doing it wrong (he bets that he most probably is) or that Jongin’s just really, reallydens. He thinks it’s the former because the latter just sounds ridiculous.

Kyungsoo thinks he’s done everything he thinks wouldwork. He had given Jongin a decent homemade food that has the elder’s favoritefood before. It earned him a pat on the head and a few praises about hiscooking skills. He’s given his hyung some fresh bouquets before too. He wasasked why which he replied with a ‘I justfelt like it…’. Jongin chuckled at that before giving him a pat on thehead, in which Kyungsoo pouted at. It was on his third attempt that earned himanother pat on the head where he started to think his tactics aren’t working.He’s so tempted to use his traps to have the elder’s attention but decidedagainst it.

It was another normal day of Kyungsoo’s visit to Jongin’shanok to have his set of weapons checked that he’s finally found the courage tojust tell Jongin of his little crush. It’ll be weird and scary but if he thinksanother pat on the head he’s going to scream. Jongin snatched the bag away asusual but this time, Kyungsoo moves to stand in front of the other and blockhis way, feeling all the more determined to do this. The mechanic looked at himwith a raised brow and for a moment his courage wavered. It’s not helping thathe didn’t bring his mask today too.

“You okay, Soo?” Jongin asked and before he could evengive his head another pat Kyungsoo took a deep breath and blurted out a loud “Ilike you hyung!” The silence was heavy and Kyungsoo was so close to bolting outof the place when a chuckle rumbled out of Jongin’s chest and for a moment heheld his breath in nervousness.

“I like you too Soo, now let’s have these guns checked,”Jongin replied and he whined like a child when Jongin held out his hand toruffle his hair and pats his shoulder. He feels like a kid and to Jongin heprobably is.

Note to self, use thebow and arrow (borrow one of cupid’s arrows) next time. That hunting trap thingis a go—probably.

Whilst she heard his words, she could not really agree or disagree. Her neutral stance was open minded, though she had not the first clue to hunting. If he could do it and say with word of advice that it was not difficult– then what else was there to believe? She would take his word for it and give it a try, so long as his instructions were easy to follow, she would get it. And fairly quickly too.

She inspects his trap as he verbally points it out. Taking notice to all the areas he describes and points out to in order for her to understand how something like this might work. Setting it up would take a little strength, since the coils for it to snap closed seemed pretty tight. But it was something she could manage doing. 

Once he is done explaining and with demonstration– she happens to glance back up to him. Nodding with affirmation she places her hands, fists curled, to rest on her hips. She’s ready to try it on her own this time but she wants him to shadow what she does in order for her to be sure she has done it correctly. “Alright–” she picks up another stick and jabs it into the trap to set it off one more time.

“Mind watching me as I try to practice? I want to see if I remember correctly.” lashes flutter with a blink, she waits for him to let her know she can start. It’s quiet enough at the moment, thankfully, for them to get this practice in before any walkers creep up on them.

The sound of the trap snapping shut made him flinch, his eyes immediately darting around to make sure no walker within hearing range is charging over from behind the trees. It’s a reaction everyone had grown accustomed to for as long as he could remember, no one daring to let their guard down when outside their camps because though it’s become relatively easy to survive when in a camp the free zone is still by far the most dangerous area. He mentally sighed in relief when the area stayed silent before he looks back at Lucy and nods his head.

“Of course, go right ahead,” Kyungsoo replied as he took a step back to give the other some room to work with, intending to watch the other’s progress and prepared himself in case the trap accidentally sets off on her hand or finger – which he hoped wouldn’t happen. He’d rather not add another name on his relatively short list of people I-accidentally-hurt-by-my-hunting-traps list. The trap’s teeth might not look much with it being slightly rusty but it will still hurt. Yes, he speaks from experience—sort of.

Kyungsoo watched Lucy work like a hawk, his hand twitching up to help a few times but decided against it. He couldn’t believe how nervous he was at the moment, especially when she’s already trying to lock the jaws in place with her thumb dangerously close to setting the trap off again. “D-don’t forget to hold it underneath…” he reminds softly, his hand hovering close just in case. One can never be too careful after all.

Alive || Kyungsoo&Sehun

Sehun’s expression doesn’t change, not until the other introduces himself as Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo, he repeats to himself mentally, and it’s almost as though there’s something that clicks when he hears the name. “It’s farfetched but—what’s your last name?” He questions, an eyebrow raised. Now that he knows the other’s name, his curiosity has been irked.

“I’m only asking because I knew a Kyungsoo before all of this…” He mentions absent mindedly, though he isn’t too sure why he’s mentioning it at all. It’s probably a total coincidence that the other boy in front of him had the same name his childhood friend did—or was it? It couldn’t be that much of a coincidence that this strange knew his name, and shares the name of someone he used to know.

There’s a part of Sehun that wants to believe that this is the Kyungsoo that he had lost so many years ago, because maybe then there would be a small ray of sunshine in this hellhole. It’s wishful thinking, he knows, and despite knowing that he probably shouldn’t be getting his hopes up over something like this, he can’t help but feel the corners of his lips twitch as they threaten to tug his frown into a smile.

Sehun hates how little things like this get him riled up, because he knows that his world is just going to come crashing down when the other boy tells him his last name. There’s no way it’s going to match his old friend’s, but that isn’t stopping the childlike wonder glistening in Sehun’s eyes as he waits for a reply from the other. Who knows, perhaps today is going to be Sehun’s lucky day after all.

There was a blank look in his eyes after Sehun’s question reached his ears, his brows furrowing slowly as he looked at the other suspiciously. To say that he’s confused was an understatement, not to mention he was starting to be hopeful that this Sehun and the childhood friend he thought he had lost forever. Kyungsoo hated the expectant beating of his heart knowing he’ll end up annoyed at everything when he finds out he had his hopes up for nothing.

The silence that fell between them was uncomfortable though there’s a possibility that it’s just him being naturally awkward. Kyungsoo shifts his weight on his legs nervously, pushing the past memories at bay. This really isn’t a good time to start reminiscing about the past and if he’s being honest he’d rather not remember particular parts of it. Talk about feeling bittersweet huh?

“Do. My last name is Do,” Kyungsoo replied finally after breathing out a sigh and shrugged nonchalantly. It would be rude not to give a reply even when he thinks it wouldn’t matter. He tried to convince himself that this Sehun knowing another Kyungsoo is just another crazy coincidence, like how he knew another Sehun from the past. There are a number of people who had the same name as them anyway so it wouldn’t be that weird. But still, he couldn’t shake off the feeling of familiarity the more they talked to each other, especially when this Sehun falls silent and has that eerily familiar blank expression on. He only knew of one person who could pull off a bitch face like that and still looked decent though undoubtedly intimidating.
