The tweedle twins, being as they are, knew about the ball weeks well in advance--but never bothered to find someone to dance. If asked, they would reply that they plan to dance with everyone, therefore, everyone was their date, and they had no need to ask. However the truth of their statement, was one to be questioned.
But truth or not, it was time to find out, as they were dressed and there, fashionably late. No, not late--simply, time was early. The tweedle twins were never late.
