sef likes to eat flowers sometimes. like if you give her a flower she'll kinda just smile and then put it in her mouth and chew it. she especially likes roses and lillies.

Sef does have a cryo vision, or at least sort of still has one. In Sumeru, she was among the many that were used as experiments using archon essence. Her vision has been combined with archon essence from the dendro archon before forcibly inserting the combined energy into Sef herself. She still carries around a ‘ vision, ’ though it now resembles a masterless vision.

Sef will always have a set of water colours and ink on her. Whether or not she has paper or not, is the question. If she does not have paper, she will simply try to use leaves, which is strangely effective when she does it. Occasionally, Sef will also use flower petals. Though her pieces have no discernable image to them, they are often described as ethereal and in one case, caused a man to stare at a piece for two days, before passing out from starvation and thirst.

I have settled on the idea that Sef is a young teenager, somewhere in the 12-14 range. She hides her vision for the most part beneath her scarf. She sees no reason to have it out, it doesn’t do anything, but holding it and having it still brings her comfort. It isn’t like she knows that it looks like a masterless vision, either. It simply feels different that other’s.

The exact process of how Sef got away from her experimenters is unknown. Though the facility where these experiments took place was destroyed around the time she had gotten away from it. It proved too much to handle, and yet the exact reason for it’s destruction or who had destroyed it, is unverifiable. Nonetheless, Sef was one of the few to get away completely from captivity.

I do wonder if taking Sef’s vision would do anything in effect to her abilities dealing with Cryo and/or Dendro. All of the control that was initially within the vision itself has been forcefully transferred into Sef. She is carrying around an empty shell, it may even be possible for someone else to awaken it as it is fundamentally just a masterless vision. Though perhaps it also acts as a sort of stabilizer, if one were to ask about the blank vision and how it feels, it’s not exactly useless. Sef will often say that it helps keep the ice from spreading too far, or roots from growing too deep. Maybe if one were to take it, she’d grow unstable--more than she already is. Whether or not that would make her weaker or not is the question though. It’s certainly possible, given all the archon residue that’s been put inside her, that without the vision there would be a chain reaction that may cause...less than safe occurrences.

That is just speculation though. It cannot be forgotten that Sef was experimented on to try to get one of two outcomes--or both: Creating a new element, and making a powerful weapon.

--despite her eyes having some sort of pattern in the form of the vision symbols, she is still very much blind. sometimes her sensitivity to the elements--now both cryo and dendro--helps with perceiving the area around her...but most of the time she still has to rely on the methods prior to being experimented on.

sef's eyes used to just be milky white, with fog over her pupils and irises. however, after the experiments begun and archon residue was put into her, her irises and pupils gradually started to look more like her vision, mixing the cryo and the dendro symbols, till it was as if her vision was in her eyes and all that was left in her actual vision was the appearance of a masterless vision.

a crystalfly comes to settle on his shoulder, wings lightly fluttering as if in greeting. there seems to be an unusual concentration of them here — all drifting languidly about this massive oak tree. he knows it holds some kind of IMPORTANCE to mondstadt. ( to the anemo archon. ) perhaps there's some unusual concentration of elemental energy around?

that isn't actually what draws the wanderer's ATTENTION, however. it's always a strange feeling, finding company when one expects to be met with solitude. ❝ ... what are you doing all the way out here? ❞

Sef's smile was bright, a hand lifted up as more than a couple crystalflies landed on her finger and her horns. Feeling their little feelers on her skin, letting out the softest of giggles that she hadn't even noticed the sound of steps of someone wandering closer. It wasn't till she heard the voice that the blind oryx almost jumped, causing a few of the crystalflies to flutter away, though two still remained perched on her horns.

" oh...!! i'm just enjoying the nature!! i heard it's going to rain soon, too, i want to be out here for it!! "

Sef giggled and nodded as she turns her head slightly in the direction of the Wanderer's voice.

" are you here for the rain, too?? "

Sef’s heart broken? Sef tries her best to seclude herself from the emotions of heartbreak--though one could not deny her sorrow when she lost her parents. She hardly remembers when it happens--least not the details. But the feelings that resonated around that time will never leave her, no matter how long of time has passed. No matter how much she tries to simply block it out. There’s also the fact that not only does she try to block those out, but around that same period was the time of her gaining her vision(perhaps why she was alone when it happened), and when the experiments began. It was a flood of confusion for a child, and it is all a spiral of emotions that only makes Sef frustrated. And she really doesn’t like to feel frustrated like that.

There are a few places that hold special meaning, but to keep it to Mondstadt or Liyue(because we don’t know the areas of Sumeru yet)...When she first felt the heavy rains just outside the caverns of Wuwang Hill she knew it was a place of tranquility. Full of dangers, yes, but a place where her paints and inks can run with the rushing water of the rainy currents. She has always enjoyed the rain, simply stormy weather, it is an unrealistic unfamiliarity to her. The rushing winds, the harsh rainfall, the deadly heat, and unpredictable weather...All that she has known, and all that she will learn! In a way, Sef probably thinks that every new place she explores has special meaning. It’s just completely different from what she has ever been to, which--to be honest--isn’t hard to do when Sef is rather unexperienced in diverse environments.

What motivates Sef? To explore, to learn, to experience it all. For the vast majority of her life, Sef has been isolated away from the world, even the outside itself. There was only the stone cold walls, only the voices of the same few people that would only keep her further away from the outside world she truly wanted to feel and know. Thus, I would say it’s definitely rooted in a sort of passion to experience the entirety of Teyvat. Someone once asked her if she was bitter or vengeful against the ones who experimented on her. Or if her wish to explore was to spite those that kept her caged...But she said no, not at all. She is still very much a child, barely a teen. Grudges don’t feel necessary, they don’t feel good to her. It is out of her own violation, not those that harmed her.
