5 things we got from Seo Kang Joon’s Last Charm in Manila

Last May 25, 2019, I attended Seo Kang Joon Fanmeet and here’s 5 things out of many that we got in his fun FanMeeting!

1. We heard him sing live, not just once, not just twice but THREE TIMES! From his entrance, he sang his song from the OST of Are you human, You are my Love. Next is Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran and he bid his Filipino fans farewell, he sang Falling Slowly.

2. We heard him say, “Lechon”, “Masarap” and “Sobrang Sarap”. That’s enough to make every fan giggle. He also loves to say “Mahal Kita”. Yes Kang Joon, we love you too.

3. We saw how he giggled when he interacted with the fans. He started talking to fans that are at the VIP and MVP section from the stage when asked what would he be doing if he isn’t an actor. Fans kept suggesting things and he happily nodded and giggled with the suggestions.

4. We saw him Dance. Maybe it was just few sways but damn he’s so cute!

5. We saw how charming he is as a person. How his ears turned red when he saw the video and cake from Seo Kang Joon Philippines. How he thank every fan and how honest and lovable he is. Never to forget, we saw how brown his eyes are! That made him super charming! <3

Time really is fast when you are having fun as the fanmeet came to an end and Seo kang Joon promised he will be back. As we will keep waiting for your return in the Philippines, we will always support you no matter what <3 Fighting Kan Joon!!

Lee Jong Suk’s roles before being a real life Public Service Worker

As he starts his Mandatory Service yesterday as a Public Service Worker, lets reminisce his roles in the past years that made us love him more; 

1. Park Soo-Ha as Mind Reader Highschooler (I hear your voice; 2013)

First on the list is a highschooler Lee Jong Suk who can ‘hear’ your voice by looking through your eyes. Park Soo-Ha’s tragic past let him gained his ability. Let it be known that when Park Soo-Ha got amnesia, it made me sad for a moment as LJS threw the line of “Who am I?”. Let me give you a hug, Soo-Ha!

2. Park Hoon as a Talented Doctor (Doctor Stanger; 2014)

In this drama, where he plays a doctor who was brought to North Korea by his father. I love how Lee Jong Suk dances and sings to Tell Me by WonderGirls in this Drama. And how exceptionally good on acting as a talented doctor that I almost believed he is someone really from the medical field.

3. Cho Dal Po/ Ha Myeong as a Genius Reporter (Pinocchio; 2014)

In this drama, he was paired with Park Shin-hye, an equally good actress. Even his character’s past is conflicted with issues about his family and having rivalry with his childhood friend who will eventually be his love interest, he aced showing how tortured his persona is. And I can’t help to feel sad that I can’t send him all the love he needed. :( Let it be known that he exceptionally shown how good he is as a genius reporter.

4. Kang Chul as a Charismatic Webtoon Character (W: Two Worlds; 2016)

Lee Jong Suk again portrayed an excellent acting skills as he plays a webtoon character. He’s charming smile, heartbreaking crying scenes made me love W. Although in the second half to the end, the story is getting more flawed. But lets focus on how amazing LJS bringing his character to life.

5. Jung Jae-Chan as a Future-seeing Prosecutor (While you were Sleeping; 2018)

A rookie prosecutor who met Hong Joo, a girl who dreams about the future. Eventually, Jae-Chan developed the same “power” with Hong Joo. Together they try to stop the dreams from happening. LJS didnt disappoint in letting as feel a sheer range of emotions. He made us laugh, cry, fall inlove.

6. Cha Eun Ho as a Charming Book Editor (Romance is a bonus book; 2019)

In this drama, where he ventures out in a role as a Senior Book Editor who loves his childhood noona. He’s unexpectedly good in unleashing his charming cute side. Especially when he argues his self for being immature in handling his noona’s lovelife with the Book Designer. I love having two Lee Jong Suks in one frame. 

As we start counting the days of his return, may he be healthy and safe as he serves his country well. Fighting Lee Jong Suk! <3

It was my first hike ever. And how did I end up choosing Mt Pulag as my first mountain to hike at? FRIENDS.

It was around April when my friends started talking of going to Mt Pulag for sea of clouds. And I wasn’t really interested in tiring myself on a weekend. Nope. But here I am registering myself together with 18 other officemates.

On very early morning of May, we find ourselves with thick jackets, big backpacks, equipped with water that will be enough to quench our thirst, waiting for a go signal from a local tour guide to help ourselves on our way up. Around 2am, we started walking on dark paths.

Since I am so not athletic, sporty, “Healthy”, I nearly fainted. I had to tell my friends I need more time to rest I am having a blurry vision already. I knew it deep down my heart, I don’t want this adventure. I am starting to regret the decision I made.

But my friends were so supportive, I had to continue walking. Until we nearly reached the summit. And a wonderful view was right in front of us. 

Around 6am, we witness this masterpiece by God. I guessed I was horribly wrong of regretting my decision halfway the walk. I never knew what God has in store for us. All I did was to complain how tired I am. A very important lesson Mt pulag gave me.

At the end of the day, all we need to do is have faith and enjoy life.

KDRAMA ENTRY #003: Thirty But Seventeen(2018) Review

.or Still 17.

Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of “24. Nakabili na ng kotse.” or “21. Nakapunta na ng Hong Kong” posts are all over the social media. And I find it weird how come people would post such things? STOP PRESSURING OTHERS WITH YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS. And this Drama will really tell you that Life is not a race. Life is your own sweet timeline. That life is whichever path you choose after every downfall, stumbles and hurdles.

This story is about the 17 year old violin prodigy who met an accident causing her to be unconscious for 13 years. She wakes up realizing that her aunt and uncle are not around, their house was sold to the new owners and that she is now a 30 year old lady.

Every character in the drama will show you how intricate this story was written.

1. GONG WOO-JIN.  Played by Yang Se-Jong.

He dwells with the trauma of his first love 13 years ago, causing him to not want any relationship with other people. He blames his self for the accident of her first love and with the help of Seo Ri, he breaks free from the sad trauma that locked him up for so long.

2. WOO SEO RI Played by Shin Hye-Sun

She’s the violin prodigy (see paragraph above). She would think of the lost 13 years she never had the chance to experience. But she bravely accepted her fate and copes up with everything that happened with her new found family.

3. JENNIFER Played by Ye Ji-Won.

The housekeeper who’s quotes famous lines. She speaks quotes with an expressionless face. Woo Jin and Se chan plus Jennifer scenes are must watch. But her past would definitely intrigue you on how she loves to speak quotes and has an expressionless face.

AND LETS NOT FORGET THE SCENE STEALER - DEOK GU

As I would love to list down all the characters, these three are the ones who taught me so much. From forgiveness, to acceptance and to just enjoy each other’s timeline. Its not how successful you can be at 30. Its how much you understand life at 30. Whether it maybe your still thinking of what to take, if you are settled down, if you want a career change.

The drama did not disappoint on showcasing what life brings unexpected occurrences, but it will make you laugh and will make you cry. I tell you, it will not disappoint.

For our 4th and last day in Hong Kong -- its the Cable Car ride to Ngong Ping 360. 

We started the day extra early finding our way to Cable Car Terminal at Tung Chung Station. We took the MTR to Tung Chung from Tsim Sha Tsui. Just in few minutes we reached our destination. Talk about how convenient their transport system is. Oh, how I’ll miss this. ha!

We were welcomed by a long line to the cable car but we waited patiently for our turn. Then we started to make ourselves comfortable on our cable car seats. Mama is so afraid of heights she was sitting so steadily at the corner. hahah! It was a long cable car ride up to the Ngong Ping Village.

We went to visit Po Lin Monastery and the Giant Buddha. And explored the village. After exploring, we took the bus back to MTR Station. We went to eat at Citygates Outlet, outside MTR. Mind you, citygates outlet has a lot of outlet store of shoes!!! IM DROOLING THE WHOLE TIME! Hahahahha!

Wrapping our HK/MACAU trip with another shopping in Night Market in Mong Kok and thats it. Off to airport the morning of next day! :)

Day One: Read Here Day Two: Read Here

On our third day in Hong Kong, we planned to visit The Peak. Quickest way to go up the mountain is by riding the Peak Tram. Upon arrival you will see a long line. But we booked tickets from klook beforehand having a vip lane access to the tram. 

Upon reaching to the top, we went a quick shopping for pasalubongs. Immediately after, we went to see The Wax Museum -- Madame Tussauds. Lee Jong Suk Wax Figure is here which is a MUST-GO-TO in Hong Kong! Hahahah! I literally hugged LJS’ Wax Figure for more than a minute. Don’t judge me. He held this figure too eh. Hahahah! 

After fangirling over the wax figures, we went straight up to the deck to see the Hong Kong’s skyline. I bet you, it was beautiful up there! That’s all there at the top, since we didn’t book a ticket back down via Peak Tram. I hurriedly googled our way back to Tsim Sha Tsui. And luckily, I found a useful blog that says there’s a train going down. Its a double decker bus and the view there is way better than from the peak tram. HAHA!

So after wondering where to go down after riding the bus, we found our way back to Tsim Sha Tsui. :) SO IT IS A MUST TO HAVE A GOOGLE AND GOOGLE MAPS when traveling hahah! CLAP CLAP

We went back to the hotel to rest a bit. And continued our journey to the NIGHT MARKET in MONG KOK! 

I was a bit hesitant in letting my phone out and snap pictures here since the place is overly crowded. So I happily roam around the streets and bought pasalubongs again without the need of being a tourist-y. (Kala mo may check in baggage para maka lubos lubos na pasalubong buying. lol)
