Toni tried to turn and look at her back. âNo idea if itâs mine or not⊠Still running on adrenaline so I canât feel anything.â

He crawled out on his four, shaking with fear and hunger. His shoes and pants had now some very stinky stains.
âYou are the first to help me in the last weeks. Thank you.â He said in a low, careful tone.
âYouâre welcome,â Twila replied, offering her hand to help him up. âYouâre not hurt, are you? You look very pale. Iâm a healer. I can help.â
With the same hesitant look he fearfully took her hand. âI think I just need some food and sleepâŠand I was looking for DarkTown healer..Do you know where it is?â
âI know where Dark Town is,â Twila nodded. âWhich healer do you mean? Can you describe him? Oh, and here,â she offered the man an apple sheâd just bought.Â

A mid aged man stood a few steps from Twila. He made himself interested in the vegetables before him but there was something very scared in his eyes. He tried to look around where to hide.
The man standing near Twila looked rather scared. And if he was scared of templarsthat meant he was probably a mage and Twila couldnât stand seeing another mage taken away. She moved closer to the man, casually. âHeyâŠâ she whispered. âIf you follow me Iâll lead you out to a safe place.â
The dark haired man raised his dark brown eyes at her, pale, half starved face. Once he was very handsome but now just looked ill and too thin. Deep, wise eyes studied Twila, squinted at templars and he nodded hesitantly.
âJust pretend everythingâs as usual,â Twila said quietly. âThis way,â she started towards a back alley, they were still quite far from the templars not to catch their attention. The alley was darkened and there was a pile of empty barrels. Twila motion for him to hide behind the pile.
The apostate nodded again and followed Twilaâs instructions. It could be seen that he doesnât trust her but he was too desperate to try anything at this point.
He made himself the smallest he could after crawling behind the dirty corner. The smell alone almost caused him to vomit and he could swore he stepped into something nasty.

âStop yelling at me and take a sniff. Itâs not alcohol.â
Falcor opened the bottle, sending Twila distrusting looks that changed into confusion when he smelled the content. âItâsâŠelfroot potion..Why do you keep an medicine in a wine bottle?!â
âI ran out of vials at some point. So I used what I had at the time. I used the potion a couple of days ago and forgot to put it away.â
âYou are such a weird woman.â: He closed the bottle and putted it on the table. âI would bring you a few if you would tell me.â
âPotions should be kept in glass vessels, no matter what they are. Why spend money on special vials if I had spare bottle?â
âBecause medicine should look like one. Or you are going to sell it like it is?â He blinked at her. âArenât you trying to impress the more noble buyers?â
âWe need medicines, too, Falcor. And I donât see the point of making our medicines presentable. Itâs enough that I know where everything is.â

âI didnât do that! I wouldnât leave my best and only boots for your monster to destroy.â Falcor objected angrily. âHow I suppose to go out now? Bare foot?!â
âWell, you did. Accept it. Iâm sure I can find you a pair of boots. If youâre patient enough to wait without destroying everything around with your fiery looks.â
âListen, I worked hard for those boots, they have cost me 40 silver. They were special!â Falcor said, looking as if heâll put the dog on fire any moment. And since fire spells werenât his strongest side it could end with him burning the mansion.
âIâve told you. Iâll compensate for those boots. Just calm down, Falcor.â
