 - probably suffered depression

 - attempted suicide 

 - watched his best friends die 

 - had to be the leader when he didn’t want it 

 - helped his friends till the end even when he always thought he wouldn’t make it that far 

 - is infected by a mortal virus 

 - tries to run away from his friends cause he thinks he is a dead weight for them 

- makes his friends get mad at him just to distance himself 

- prays his friend to kill him 

- finally gets killed by his friend 

And just for your delight:

 - he had a sister, the one he most cared about in the world, but strangers irrupted his house and kidnaped her

- he is defenseless so he can’t do anything to save her even thought he tries his best to avoid those persons to take his world away 

- then he watches his parents get killed by several bullets in their bodies, in front of his eyes 

- gets traumatized 

 And to finish: 

 - once he is property of wckd they erase his memories 

- he couldn’t remember lizzy aka his sister 

- couldn’t remember his parents 

- he probably got reunited with his sister but they didn’t recognize each other 

- he died without meeting his sister again 

- and he couldn’t say goodbye to the rest of his friends, the ones he has cared the most along the way 

SO DONT FUCKING DARE TO ASK ME WHY IS HE MY FAVORITE ONE ON THE MAZE RUNNER BOOKS (that’s for you James)
