not in love with you

but you

you, straight out of my mind

you, loving and caring and brave

you, who shakes up my world and lights the way

you, who i wish i could hold in my arms

you, who would wait for me to open up

you, my you

throw me a nuclear bomb

i'll catch it

smother it with my heart

im okay, not that you'd ask

at least i'm open to the world now

at least you can see me now

at least you'll survive now

i want to hold your hand

place it over my heart,

feel how it beats?

cover up my eyes,

see how you've blinded me?

let you trace every vein and artery

to the place where you control

with just the tilt of your lips

i want to crash into them.

On accident, of course

so i know you want what i do

then you pull her

into the seat next to you

i'll swallow your mirth

you take me to places i've never been

but we always return to the one spot in my mind

lets accidentally pull each other close

lets accidentally collide and let our worlds merge

even if no one survives
