Encounter my muse.💃 → performing a hidden talent.

          From head to toe, he was bathed with the waters Achilles was dipped in; when he danced, he became invulnerable. Graceful, delicate, and precise, Shinsou moved like a swan in a lake. An arm extends upward, his hand reaching for the sun, and his face follows suit, letting the warmth kiss his skin. Ever so cautiously does the boy allow his leg to lift off from the ground and be balanced on the leftover one. It is a slow process, yes, but it is this steadiness that blends so well with the serenity of an open field.

This stretch of his ascends into sudden fleet-footed movement; his weight shifts to the balls of both of his feet as he walks carefully across the blades of grass. And only professional eyes could understand the dance he tried to portray, ballet. There was no other indicator other than his movements. Shinsou’s dance continues, his practices leading up to become a pirouette as a foot raises against the knee of the supporting leg, only then does he twirl like a spinning top. However, a spinning toy can only endure so much until it falters. In this instance, his momentum is lost the moment he spots sparkling eyes only born into the face of the one name Aoyama. It is a brief glance, but he swears he caught a pair of optics in his spin. A gasp is indicative of Shinsou’s apprehension, and his fall being evidence for his low self-esteem when an audience was before him. And so, his face is flat on the ground. What do I tell him? What should I do? What can I do? He picks himself up slowly, his arms pushing him off the ground. As he sits there, looking down, anxiety speaks for him in the form of a yell:

         “Don’t look! Don’t look, don’t look- I … I can’t dance.”

A yell that descends into shaky breaths, Shinsou expects the worst when he shields his face from view with his hands.

      he watches, gaze unwavering as the blond dashes off, light as can be, and returns, arms outstretching; a box, beautifully wrapped  ( glittering proudly within the light and adorned with a big, golden bow ),  offered forth, carefully settled within open palms. willing away wariness the best he can, he forces himself to accept the gift, slowly removing it from the other’s grasp and hesitating, a transient pause, before fingers get to work, carefully unwrapping. indigo hues take in the sight before him; a leather belt, smooth to the touch and engraved, a personal touch, thoughtful. the tips of his ears go just a touch warm.  ‘ you didn’t have to do this. ‘  a beat of pause.  ‘ thank you. ‘

❝    well,   why not ?  ☆   ❞      a blink.     then,   another.     the smile on his face stays,   brilliant and honest.    the pink to his cheeks the only evidence of the exhilaration that comes when the present is pried open.       ❝     you are surprised,   non,   monsieur ?    surprised and    ...    happy  ?   ☆   ❞     there’s a slight anxiety now dripping into his tone.    happy    -    but yuuga understands how that is different from people to people.   still,   he’s vibrating just where he stands:    either from the anxiousness,    or the after-effect of his effort wielding results,    he isn’t sure.        ❝    i am always happy,   oui,   if i am surprised.   and gifts are very nice,   non ?    you feel welcomed,   yes ?    i thought of gifting you with a glittery belt !   —-    but aizawa-sensei has informed me that that would be a violation of dress code.    malchanceux  !   ☆   ❞

this  is  a  hell  of  a  lot  of  exposition  to  go  through  for  a  simple  favor ,   and  denki  is  beyond  the  point  of  avidly  reminding  himself  how  much  he  seriously ,   seriously  needs  to  start  charging  these  people .    aoyama  at  least  gets  an  A  for  effort   ;   polite  reluctance  to  just  straight  up  ask  what  denki  knows  he  wants  is  a  kindness  not  lost  on  him ,   otherwise  being  leagues  more  preferable  than  bakugou  taking  advantage  of  a  yawn  just  to  jam  his  phone  charger  into  denki’s  open  mouth . 

the  eyeroll’s  a  bit  unintentional ,   reflexive  in  nature  even ,   but  denki  supposes  it’d  be  unfair  if  aoyama  sat  out  as  the  only  one  who  didn’t  get  a  free  ride  with  his  quirk .    therefore ,   jumbling  the  plethora  of  phones  into  one  (  questionably  reliable  )  armful ,   he  holds  his  now - free  hand  out  in  gesture  to  the  hairdryer .

❛   hey  man ,   i  appreciate  the  discretion  n’  all ,    but  i’m  gettin’  kinda  tired .    if  you  want  me  to  be  your  outlet  or  generator  or  battery  or  whatever ,   just  be  straight  with  me ,   ‘kay?    i’m  good  for  it .    free  of  charge .   ❜

Yup, I’ve watched “Moana” and there was only one association I could possibly get with this song (”Shiny” by Jemaine Clement).

Sorry for the quality, I don’t know how to alter the audio. And video (especially when the idea strikes at the middle of the night and I just sit there for an hour trying to recall how to use Final Cut). And I’m generally not good with any video-editors, but it doesn’t seem to bother me too much. Enjoy X)
