Things I didn’t expect watching Shoujo Cosette pt. III
Part III: The Barricade! (WARNING SPOILERS)
1. When some police approach Marius to arrest him and Grantaire shows up to distract them by giving him a hug
(god I wish that were me)
2. It’s the night before the barricade so oh boy here comes all the overdramatic sentimentality, featuring:
Combeferre saying after all this is over, he wants Enj to come visit his parents? Ok they can be a couple idk
Remember how they made Courf straight? so we have this unnecessary scene
3. Enj anime crying as he’s about to shoot one of the guardsmen
4. Cosette’s going to the barricade? Lol this is going to be fun
5. Oh they brought her here just to SEE GAVROCHE DIE WTF
6. JK she’s just here to take him to the hospital. He lives (and so does Chou Chou)
7. This dad moment between Jean Valjean and Enjolras
8. (Enjolras is shot like 5 minutes later in the episode)
9. WHAT IS THIS DREAMPOP SONG THEY”RE PLAYING EVERYONE IS LITERALLY DYING
10. As he dies, Courfeyrac dropping the locket his gf gave him so we’re reminded in his final moments that he’s Straight ok
11. GRANTAIRE SAVING ENJOLRAS BY KNOCKING A GUARD OVER THE HEAD WITH A WINE BOTTLE
12. If they were going to make this scene so sentimental, why couldn’t Enj and R have been holding hands. Look we get it, it’s a kids show so we can show literally all the amis dying onscreen but we can’t have them holding hands because that would be gay
13. The barricade is over and there’s still 8 episodes remaining? Oh god I hope they’re not all going to take place in the sewers
