Mammon falling thru that portal would be so confusing...
Location: Corona Castle Ballroom
"Joy Joy Joy! Look at this!" The drink drifted slowly down his throat, leaving a burning trail and a not-too-pleasant aftertaste on the tongue as the man's face twisted into a grimace, regretting that he had made the decision to try a glass of champagne to test what kind of champagne. sensation could be felt almost expecting it to be like a soda with many bubbles. Lips open with an expression of disgust, leaning the cristan on the table as if just touching it would act like acid as the eyes looked at the woman who wasn't too far. Why adults make that drink alcohol was so easy when in real life wasn't? "I'll never going to try alcoholic beverages, how are you able to handle the flavor?" It was a horror to still feel that sensation, making the mental note of getting some dessert or even a glass of water that could alleviate or permanently erase that. It was absurd that, as an adult, Stitch was not even able to take more than one sip of champagne. Luckily, the man was never worried to fit in the common standars so that was a point in favor. Better be unique that a cheap copy of everyone else. "Don't give that look, I'm not childish. Also, nice dress" He smiled, there was no reason to worry, Joy would never be able to judge him for an act as silly as that or so he expected. Better to be healthy, there were always other ways to have fun. "So, How are you? Excited to start a new year where is everything is blank like a sheet and that means that endless possibilities are possible? I certainly am!" @jcytothewcrld
conspiracypines:
Sipping at his drink, Dipper walked around the room with no real destination in mind or in search of anyone in particular. Spotting Stitch not too far away, he made his way over and raised the glass in hello. “Hey,” he greets the familiar face. “You’re very… blue tonight.” @stitch-pelekai
Like a kind of game where he was the only player, Stitch's eyes and mind were focusing into study any woman or man who was in relative proximity, trying to discover who's hiding behind stylish clothing and different masks and finding that the assumption offered no advantage. More complicated than it seemed but still finding some fun with it. That's the reason of why he reacted like if someone had kicked him when a voice interrupted the task, raising an eyebrow to observe the person who had said his name. Was a familiar face? Eyes blinked analytically, as if it could offer answers although what ring the bell was that voice, putting on a smile when being able to recognize the owner of it. "Dipper! Aloha! I didn’t reconoiced you with that suit, you look like a prince!" Glass was rising to imitate the actions of the other, although instead of containing drink it was a berry cheesecake bite that was almost empty, proof of this were the remains of crumbs on the corner of the lips. Smile widened at the last words of the Pines boy, taking some pride for it. "Thanks! Blue means serenity and inspiration! Fitting choice to end a cycle and start a whole new year! Also symbolizes space and I love the space." Eyes rolled at the memory of the detail on the bow tie. "You know that I tried to eat with a bow tie that had alien illustrations on it? Nani didn't even let me leave the house with it." No one can fight that woman, can be the worst mistake. Shaking the head, eyes focused back on his friend, relaxed posture and expectant eyes. "So, any new misteries in the agenda or you're going to take a little break?"
tiasbeignets:
tiana admittedly felt a little ridiculous tonight. getting all dressed up to go to a party was hardly something that she did, finding very little time in her life for parties of any kind, yet alone parties like this. but lottie had been so thrilled to hear that tiana had the night off, and she didn’t have the heart to disappoint her best friend. so here she is, leading stitch around the food table before smiling brightly when something catches her eye. “have you ever had semifreddo?” she asks, picking up two cups of the dessert. “it’s not coconut cake but i promise you, you’ll love it!” @stitch-pelekai
Formalities aside and that need to attend with a distinguished dress, not one could deny that this event was far of boring or tedious, trying to focus more with the idea that this was something special that won't happen again in a long time . And Stitch was determined to have a fun night, no matter if Nani had forbidden him to attend with that striking bow tie with green aliens printed on its surface. Also, who could be the stupid one that could deny free food? Someone with no brain. Looking at Tiana with a happy smile, curiosity did not take long to be noticed when mentioning that dessert called Semiffredo, putting a quizzed expression as if it were a foreign word of difficult pronunciation. "Is that a real word or if something you made up? Quite imaginative." No matter if she was holding two cups in from of him, or that if what was said could make him look like an idiot in front of the woman, no doubts would be left without talking. Eyes stared at the dessert, then his eyes to engulf in continuous succession until finally the hand slowly opened, almost as if it were a silent permission to give a chance as the fingers closed on the glass handle. Tasting it was not an act of speed, taking time to look at it, smell it and carefully brush the texture, making a surprised face when noticing coldness. "What an interesting mix, you really have a good taste Ti." It may be exaggerated, but a man has a series of own protocols and would comply with them. Taking a test bite, Stitch's eyes widened as if somethinf wonderful just happened, taking almost all willpower not to devour that piece. "Is it bad to say that I would kill just to enjoy this treasure for the rest of my life?" Quirky way to say that he love the piece, but who cares abot that righ now? Mask gives an atmosphere of secrecy and mystery, peculiarities that did not fit his way of being. Raising the glass as a sign of toast, excited smile and affectionate sparkle in the eyes, words couldn't sound more energetic and sweet for that person who was like a sister. "We should toast to you! To us! To the days off and the vacations that still await us! For sticking together to the end?"
Who says that to be elegant one must be uncomfortable? Masquerades are fun! Stitch doesn't care about trivia or trying to fit like everyone else, focusing better on a fun game of discovering who is hidden behind each mask.
“So is it Jesus’s birthday?” - adora
The task of placing the snowman's head was left in stand by, hands buried in the snow to prevent it from falling to the ground and being destroyed. It was almost a custom that he and Adora from time to time discussed lurid or meaningless topics, a pastime that was often nice to get to know each other's thinking without even feeling offense or annoyance at what might be said. Both were in one of the parks near the university, in a meeting to enjoy the snow now that the holidays were more present, when that 'question' had been said by her. He raised an eyebrow curiously. The themes related to Christmas were not her strong suit, internally pondering the answer, placing the snowman's head on top of the base to ensure that it stayed in place. It's not like this was a taboo topic - actually that question-shaped information was interesting, Nani and Lilo often used to be the people who used to be sources of information for Stitch so learning a new factor on your own was novel. Stitch turned to her with a smile, his mind racing to focus on that fact. "Do you realized that you asked the wrong guy to know that? I barely even know the story of the three ghosts that haunted the rich man, even less that it is someone's birthday." He calmly replied in a relaxed posture, still giving the impression that the matter was of the utmost importance. "What I don't understand is why that is so important, Let's be honest because a lot of people have their birthday that same day. So why is only one mentioned? Kinda unfair, don’t you agree?" @lastshera
🍪 (gene)
Stitch made a disgusted face and didn't hesitate to spit out that first test cookie that had just come out of the oven, grabbing a napkin to wipe the last bits off his tongue. Almost like there were tears in the eyes although it was a more an impulsive reaction for not having been patient. "I'm afraid to agree with you, of course mixing coconut and mint in a cookie is a bad combination." Far from being angry, there almost seemed to be relief in the eyes. That is, to learn before one had to experiment and make mistakes before they had the final result. And before them was a tray with different mixes and different ingredients. "First try, total failure but surely the others are better!" Overconfidence? The smile probably widened at the thought of the possible flavors that lay ahead. "C'mon buddy, no pain no gain? The world belongs to the innovators, people like us that are not afraid to think out of the box." The voice sounded happy as the hands mimicked a square, eyes lit with illusion despite the fact that the ingredients had been randomly chosen, even using gum with pieces of watermelon. "We should make a brand with the good ones." Spending time with that boy who was almost a brother was complicated since he had joined that band, something that Stitch would never hold against him because the first thing was the illusion that the other boy put up with determination. "Your turn Gene, pick a choice and cross your fingers for good luck!" @burgerboybelcher
When Mavis originally signed up for the gingerbread house decorating contest, she hadn’t realized it was a pairs event. Which led to both excitement and disappointed when she realized she was going to be paired with someone else to create her little cookie house. The majority of her was thrilled that she’d get to meet someone new and work on a fun activity with them, but she couldn’t help but be a bit sad that it likely meant she wouldn’t get to build a miniature version of her father’s hotel for her entry. Though perhaps her partner would be okay with that! Maybe the thought of a monster hotel would intrigue them. Or at least, she hoped it might. And when she saw someone approaching the table she was already sitting at, waiting for her partner to arrive, she jumped up to her feet (a little too fast but she hoped he wouldn’t notice) and offered a small wave. “Hi! I’m Mavis. And you’re Stitch... right?” @stitch-pelekai
@mavisdracule
“Yeah! He built it when I was just a kid,” she answered, not telling quite the entire story for the sake of not wanting to potentially let anything slip that she shouldn’t. Like the way the hotel was a monsters only establishment and had been built to keep her safe and away from any and all humans. “I… don’t have any pictures actually. But we could model it after the Inn around here instead.” It was a minor lie, Mavis did have pictures of the hotel but they weren’t any that she could just show to Stitch. All of them either had monsters hanging out around the hotel or made it too obvious that it wasn’t just a normal, human hotel. “Oh, I wasn’t worried! I believe in you.”
Stitch wasn't the best at judging people, although he had to admit that it was weird that Mavis didn't have a photo of that hotel run by her father. Although he was already weird, so to some extent everything was fine, at least there was the modeling solution looking at that inn. "No problemo! Just let me cheeck how it looks first." Tapping on the phone screen, he curiously observed the different photos posted on the internet. Building with a simple touch but beautiful details. The options to recreate it flowed through his mind, deciding to share the suggestions with Mavis. "Good choice. I think we can use chocolate and caramel syrup to recreate these pictures. And marshmallows as snow bushes. The building could be decorated with layers of sweets that resemble the Inn" Encouraged with a small smile, he continued saying ideas for help with the elaboration, a sparkle in the eyes that showed the enormous desire to participate in it. It's not like he monopolizes everything, leaving room for her to share any ideas in mind. "Could we add some coconut to it? I love that flavor and maybe a distinctive combination can lead to victory. What do you think?"
Location: Pelekai’s apartament
Weather: Blizzard
When Stitch wrapped himself in the duvet rescued from his room, lips inevitably curled into a nervous frown, listening to the howling of the wind hitting the window. The truth was, looking at the 'guest' who was also wrapped in a pile of blankets along with another duvet, remembering the whole trip back to the Pelekai’s apartment was blurry. As if the survival instinct had taken control when everything was in chaos, with the whole place in darkness and only with the lights of the phone flashlights as illumination, no sign of Lilo or Nani. It did not mean that something bad had happened, and if the phone line worked he would have called them a lot of times while he went into the blizzard to undertake a search, hypothetical situation now impossible, and that is why at least he was glad to have Max there with him: Not being alone was the best option. Too bad Gene wasn't there too, but he and his sisters would be safe somewhere. "Sorry I can't offer a hot chocolate, there's no electricity so. Do you want a glass of water or something?" He said, realizing that perhaps it had been rude not to offer anything even if the situation was out of the ordinary. "Hey Max, You okay? Look like if you've seen a ghost or something." Was it good to joke? Trying too hard to be positive about the whole thing wasn't easy, and Stitch hoped Max wouldn't be offended by trying to play down the seriousness. They couldn't do anything but wait for it to be over. "Let's stick together. And when the blizzard fades, we'll go out and find your father and my sisters. If you want, if not, I'll go alone." @mcximillicngccf

@mavisdracule
“Nice to meet you too,” she returns the sentiment with a grin. A hand raises in a waving moment to brush off his apologies. “You aren’t late, don’t worry. I was just early.” Mostly because Mavis had been so excited at the thought of the contest that she wanted to get started as soon as she could. Even when she’d found out she’d have a stranger for a partner that excitement hadn’t dulled. There had been a bit of disappointment, of course, but that faded the moment Stitch mentioned potentially wanted to create a hotel out of their gingerbread. “Yeah! I actually was going to design it after my father’s hotel when I thought I was doing this alone. We could maybe do something like that? Unless you want to make our own version of a gingerbread hotel!”
"Does your father own a hotel?" That's so cool! "That might be a very personal topic to ask but curiosity was hard to hide when such an interesting fact was revealed. Nani had worked for a time as a hotel receptionist in Hawaii but years ago and memory was not very reliable of the details of the structure. Stitch smiled with a lot of emotions without caring to treat a stranger as if she were a lifelong friend and not a contest partner that he had just met, just feeling a pang of guilt when Mavis said that she had thought to do it alone. Looking at all the gingerbread and jars of sweets and candies for the disposition of whatever was to be built, an idea popped into his mind. "Do you have a picture or something? So it would be easier to work and find what things we can use for the structure. How does it look? "He made no effort to reach over to her, preferring to give space until everything was decided to start working as a team." You shouldn't worry. I am a hard worker! I won't leave you down! "

---- karmi stood in front of the ice rink, face looking as much like the star eye emoji as humanly possible. “this is it,” she breathed, hand firmly on stitch’s wrist. “i’ve always wanted to do this. it’s like a movie or something. which, naturally, means it’s on my bucket list,” the girl explained before taking some steps toward the rink. she paused, looking back at her friend before motioning to stitch to come.
@ksycorax
—- she smiled, lacing up the skates. karmi was more excited than she could show. “i think i’ll be fine,” she replied, taking a step onto the ice and pausing to get her balance. taking small steps to the barrier, she was surprised to find that it wasn’t that much different from roller skating. “please don’t,” she replied, trying to look back at stitch, “because i will have to do the same.” karmi was always so grateful for what stitch did for her. he never complained when she sprung dumb things onto him. he was always game for whatever dumb plan she had. “next activity is your choice, okay? i don’t like having all the power here,” she admitted, feeling a bit guilty. she paused, waiting for stitch to catch up. in situations such as this, stitch was karmi’s security. he was used to being ‘normal’. well, as normal as stitch could be. and she was grateful. “i actually don’t think i can do any spins. if i did, it’s because i fell,” she admitted.
"C'mon, I'm not so bad." Stitch stuck out his tongue playfully while his fingers concentrated on the action of tightening the laces of the skates with some excitement at the idea of trying something new. "And besides, any photo that you can take of me will be the proof that miracles exist." Getting up carefully to keep your balance so as not to fall before entering the ice rink. At Karmi's request that he should choose the next activity for both of them to go together, the man looked at her curiously and shook his head with a smile. Since when did she feel that she was in control of everything? They were both buddies, two individuals who enjoyed company. And Karmi was great for putting up with Stitch's quirks, not giving him dirty looks or considering him a freak for not trying to be like everyone else. "Aww ... How nice that you take it for granted that we're not going to end up in the hospital sharing a room. I take it upon myself to go first in the first ambulance that arrives." A laugh escaped at the comment of the spins, feeling the same but deciding to keep it to avoid creating more nerves. "We can race then. Whoever wins first invites the other to a coconut coffee?" Recently, one of the stalls had started serving said drink and he had practically salivated just seeing said option while he tried to skate at the same pace as the woman despite the constant wobbling of his legs. Or that was the idea until suddenly, Stitch fell with his feet forward and hitting his back first against the ice.

"Of course we are gonna try it." He says with determination, staring at her for a few seconds before nodding and following her to the ice ring and putting his hands behind his head while the possibility of falling and making a fool of himself did not weigh him down in the least. "Karmi, I plan to take a picture of you when you fall." It's probably best not to playfully tease before even putting on your skates to slide down the ice, but Stitch loved helping Karmi cross things off her to-do list, like a secret mission where the reward was experiencing new emotions. And more given the case that the aforementioned had never skated on ice either. How to resist living an adventure with the best friend in the world? Stitch's ugly Christmas jumper clinked as they both approached the booth to order the ice skates. "Do you want to bet who spins the most on the ice? I bet I can beat you in the blink of an eye."

It was very strange to experience all that happiness that was felt in the air - as if the entire festival vibrated with a positive energy that softened everyone's behavior, making Stitch notice that everyone was extra sweet. It was weird, knowing that all of this was temporary but still deciding to focus on the words of the mysterious woman who had mentioned his name. "Aloha! Nice to meet you Mav!" An animated if somewhat tired smile was directed at her now-contest partner. The excitement had been so great that he had barely been able to sleep the night before. Of course, this did not have to be a problem as long as the coffee was close at hand (A large thermos with the caffeine-laden liquid was hidden in the backpack). He really didn't have much idea of how to go about decorating gingerbread houses but it was a challenge that could be met with determination. "I'm sorry I'm late." Sliding on the opposite bench to face her, being very surprised to see so many gadgets for the contest, Stitch looked at her with a bit of nerves but hiding it well. "I am not very imaginative with these things but I am willing to give it my all. Any ideas in mind?" Ugh, it was hateful to sound so insecure but there were times when that couldn't be helped and it wasn't fair to burden Mavis with the full responsibility of coming up with a possible idea to compete. "Let's roll, Hoaloha . How about a hotel or something like that? Make something original and not just a little house like everyone else."
“ someone thought we were a couple so like , we totally just hit best friend goals. “
Even though Stitch often kept his cool and acted like everything was chill and there was no need to worry about the opinion of others, that comment almost made him spit out the coffee he was drinking. "What ?! Who said that?" Since the events of Halloween, life had somehow been twisted in such a way that people couldn't help but poke their noses into his privacy. As expected, a kind of morbid that he did not like at all and for some reason they were delighted to spread rumors or conspiracy theories while some were only looking for interviews (That had been a nightmare to avoid). Stitch puts the half-empty cup on the table and shoots his friend a glance, as if suddenly he'd be visited for coffee and a snack they'd been forgotten. Stitch usually let things slide and preferred to support friends. Not this time. "Was it Lilo? My sister loves this kind of things." Suspicions pointed to her, although she was not the only person. "Or was it another individual we know?" Because he and Karmi never talked about those kinds of feelings, like it was something delicate. "Or is a jerk who just wants to mess with us?" Stitch asks, refusing to look away from the woman's face. "It’s totally cool. Because you and I don't give off that kind of vibe. Do we? We're just a great pair of oddballs, unique best friends who go on adventures and pride themselves on being weird." @ksycorax
“ hey , hey , hey … guess what ? “ (ariel)
"Uh?" Turning on his heel to face the person who had spoken those words, freezing in place for a moment and then smiling with great happiness at the sight of that familiar face. "Hey! Aloha Ariel!" They had really seen each other recently, but he had been so distracted that he hadn't realized the other individual had already been trying to get his attention, so the only thing the man could do was put on an apologetic smile as his arms hugged both sides of the body. "Has something interesting happened? What do you want to tell me?" Now curiosity motivated Stitch, leaning slightly forward with a glint of excitement in his eyes but always leaving space between them. "Don't leave me wondering! What's going on?" @littletriton
🥪 our muses have a snack (tiana)
Looking at all the cupcakes and tea that seemed to spread out as far as the eye could see, Stitch tried to hide his disappointment when he didn't see any of them included any coconut ingredients in the composition. What kind of place didn't have coconut cake? The student couldn't understand it. But he didn't care if he could have a good time with Tiana with it, they had both been busy lately and it had been a relief to have found time to see each other. Plus, with all the confusion there had been since Halloween, focusing had been difficult even though they were sitting across from each other. If Tiana wanted, she could read him like an open book. "Is the tea ... watered down?" The man put down the cup with a sigh, putting on a funny face as his eyes turned back to the woman. "Tell me Tiana. Do you like this place? It's the first time I've come here and they don't have coconut cake. I'm not going back." Maybe it was a childish reason, but Stitch meant it while nibbling on a chocolate cupcake. “I really missed you, you know?” @tiasbeignets
