Little Hands ♡ Luciel & Atticus
atticus-caissy:
Atticus nodded his head, though he’d try to find a way to pay for at least part of their celebratory treat. He had an actual income coming in now and he never wanted Luciel to feel he had to support him and the baby. “We’ll split it.” He took the Omega’s hand in his. “We’ll share. Just like we do everything else.”
The doctor helped him up and gave him instructions to continue taking his pre-natal vitamins, call if he continued to have trouble keeping food down, and to make an appointment for the next month with the nurse up front. Once the Alpha was gone, Atti relaxed a little. It wasn’t that the man wasn’t kind, he was and professional and many other good things. It was just that he was always a bit tense when there was an Alpha around. The only two he’d ever managed not to feel that way around was Nate and his father.
He dressed quickly and stood up, swaying a little from a head rush. “Oh, stood too quickly. I think some food would be a good idea. Maybe we can stop by the bookstore you’re helping at too. If we may. I don’t want to embarrass you or anything of the sort though so if you’d rather not I completely understand.”
Luciel quickly rushed to steady Atticus, his hands moving to support him with a soft reassuring smile. “You need to move slowly, Lady, the little one is healthy so let’s make sure they stay that way.” He placed his hand gently over the other man’s belly and smiled. “And you small one, you need to behave more so your papa can get all the food he needs. You must be a hungry pup already.” He leaned up to press a small kiss to Atticus’ cheek before he lead him out to the reception desk so they could make another appointment.
The Omega stayed close to Atticus, arms looped around him protectively as they moved. He gave a small growl as they passed by the previously judgmental Alpha from the waiting room and pressed a little closer to his companion as they left the office.
“So...have you thought of the little one’s name yet?”
