me in happier days….juan is a shuar shaman….what’s especially cool about the shuar is that they were never conquered by the spanish. if anyone needs proof that ayahuasca does not cause insanity just have a look at all the many Amazonian peoples who have used it for thousands of years. The jungle is no joke. You need a firm grip on reality to last there. Ayahusca is also used to cure addictions and emotional problems. There are various centers devoted to that. Once you see the bigger picture and KNOW your place in it you have no desire to disrespect one of Pacha Mama’s children (you or anyone else) I’ve never had any addictions or major emotional problems but just as  general thing. 

Once Big Pharma realized they couldn’t patent something they hadn’t invented and that had been used by people for thousands of years they started to shit on it. It is however protected by the DEA in the US as a religious sacrament and recognized as a part of the national heritage of Peru  and Ecuador. . Btw…..Ecuador is the first nation to recognize and protect Pacha Mama as a citizen. It’s a little silly because we are HER citizens/children  not the other way around but that’s how cool Ecuador is.
