fcklyrikâ:
Lyrik was impressed as he watched the girl tear the owner a new one, it wouldnât be the first time people tried to sell counterfeits in Revera, and likely not the last either. Though he couldnât say he was truely surprised, when heâd been told about the high end bikes going for cheap rates, he figured it must have been to good to be true. Not that the price really mattered at this point to him, heâd been playing the game long enough to accumulate a large wealth inside of it. But still, like in the real world, he had a weak spot when it came to motorcycles. In Revera however, he was something of a collector, because even though he may already have the best bike on the market, that didnât change his appreciation for the others.
âYouâre good.â He mused, fingers tracing over the cheap plastic of the bike nearest to him. âReally good, you know your stuff.â
Canary glanced down at the guyâs fingers. They were tracing over the bike in a way not unlike how her eyes had trailed the curves of the luxury models. She expected him to be more upset, but in his reaction there was something more resigned. Had he been doubtful from the start? She parted her lips, went to acknowledge the compliment with a deflective quip, but that same irritating voice cut her off before she could.
âGet out-â Interrupted the shop-owner, who Canary looked over to find scowling at the both of them. His scruffy jaw had tightened and his face had gone red. As his eyes darted between them, Canary assumed all the blame and took a languid step back. As she turned to leave, a resounding âBoth of you.â impacted her from behind.
âSeriously?â Off the top of her head, there were about ten ways to come back from that. Canary stared at the conman for a moment, waiting for him to do something to pick himself back up. When he kept glaring, she scoffed. âKnow it a little too well...â She muttered, loud enough for Lyrik to hear. âCâmon, thereâs another place.âÂ
