[Aquilo lets out a shout. His hold on Alex’s father is released from the man kicking him. As Circe turns, Alex makes a run for it, starts the car, and escapes. Unfortunately, the father can’t escape as Aquilo grabs him again.]

Circe: Forget it. Just slice him and take what he’s got. We’ll deal with that kid later. He can’t get far in a truck smashed that bad.

Why are you girls together? What are you looking for?

Well, I joined with Esther after she got caught in this big zombie attack. I helped her get out of it. She insisted I follow her. Cuz, uh... I don’t have very many skills. None that are useful in the world we have now. But... I guess she took pity on me? ...Maybe?

A-anyway, we’re looking for our parents. Mine, and her dad. My father was trying to go out and help people, and when he didn’t come back, my mom went to look for him. There were a couple of relief centers and we’ve been checking them every time we see one. And Esther... well, at least she’s got a more concrete location. Her dad was last said to be at this military base that was full of people trying to fight the zombies before, uh... it stopped working.

No. We’re just wandering. I mean, Esther is in charge of the map and has her compass, and we know where we’re going, we just... all we have each night is our tent we gotta set up and pack up every day.
