Writing Wednesday- The Young Elites

Magiano looked up at the sky, the pink and orange smears of the sun setting painted his vision. He laid back on his arms, waiting for the stars to appear. When they did, he could see his love.

One by one the stars appeared amidst the black of night. Magiano searched through the constellations until he found hers. Adelina had the prettiest stars. They shown as bright as she always had, and he couldn’t help the tears she brought to his eyes.

“Hello, mi Adelinetta.”

He waited the hours until she could appear to him as human and answer his greeting with the smile now reserved for him.
