No latent unresolved issues he shoved deep inside himself that he now has to face, no sir, none at fucking all. Character exploration, canon expansion, angst.

mandarin slices (1/1) - ER. Explicit. Luka Kovač/Abby Lockhart. Human Shield canon continuation. When Abby kisses Luka back, she's intent on making this night with him angry. He's got other, gentler plans.

Hey creators, mostly artists, heads up: Redbubble has added another fee. 

A HUGE fee. They make 85% off your sales now. Here’s a bit of a breakdown, using their numbers that I got from their own page: https://blog.redbubble.com/2023/04/how-account-fees-may-apply-to-you/

You sell $300 in products. You earn $75 from it. THE REST GOES TO REDBUBBLE. 

That’s already like WHAT REALLY, but now, with the new fee, you earn $47 actually. they get 85% now. They take nearly half of the pittance we were getting. Are you KIDDING ME

Their page says  “Let’s say you earn $15.50 in May. Then you will be charged $6.15 as an account fee. Your earnings for May are ($15.50 – $6.15) = $9.35.”

Half of $15.50 is $7.75. $9.35 is only $1.60 from $7.75 

I make MAYBE $30-50 on redbubble, on a GOOD month. now it’ll be $15-25. HECK

Shadow and Bone?

Okay so I'm seeing tons of gifs and once again, I am tempted to watch this show, but simultaneously am too afraid to watch it. I've been burned before by shows ending horribly (*cough*Timeless*cough*).

Thoughts? Should I wait to see if it continues?

Okay so it’s fine. I do think it’s one of the best fantasy material out right now but some things just really fucking grind at me for not reaching the potential it should (the concept of Ravka as a Russia/Germany sort of mix is interesting and then they do this boring ass Disney Mulan-esque portrayal of fantasy China. also the inconsistency in gendering the last names makes me want to tear my hair out but that’s a personal note) and it does quite a lot of explaining not showing. Also the editing is weird in spots especially the fight scenes???

I will say I am currently writing fic for it despite having like 20 other pieces of ER fic I really should fucking finish because these characters are really lovable. The casting is excellent and the acting is pretty good all across (personally feel the Crows are the best actors, along with Zoya who criminally does not get enough screen time). Also Ben Barnes is evil and hot, what else is there to want?

I don’t think it’ll burn you. The books are written and the changes they have made are really interesting (I will say the last season’s final twist moment actually had me saying WHAT to the screen out loud at 1am because I decided to binge it in a day). One of the weaknesses of the show is that it draws its lines on morality too strictly and honestly that ends up being a less emotionally invested experience, so there won’t be a lame-ass Flynn kill-off.
