Ahhhh congratulations to you and your family but omg right I’ve got a relatively fresh out little niece (I mean my cousins baby so technically not but families are weird lmao and we’re getting called aunties) so I’m officially in my auntie era and love stealing the bebe but also love handing the bebe back lmao but with you on the pregnancy being horrid my cousin had a horrendous first trimester and into her second she ended up hospitalised multiple times and diagnosed with hyperemesis which is like the extreme sickness and she actually just looked and felt ghastly… no thanks x

I know you’ve posted lots about your ties (which are amazing by the way) but I wondered if you’ve decided on an outfit! I’m going to opening night for Wembley and I haven’t got a single thing 😳 I’m thinking of just wearing something I’ve already got but I need inspiration!

Ironically enough I might not even wear one of my ties lmao !! But funny you should say because i had an absolute conniption about my outfit last night lolll so I have pieces but not a fully built fit yet which is giving me aggro lmao sooooo I’m going the sparkly disco route… I’m putting the disco in disco occasionally but in a cool way lmao hopefully !

So my current plan is I have this loose knit sequin poncho thing that I loveeee with a black body suit underneath and some form of skirt… but it’s just what that skirt is… I tried on three last night one I absolutely hated one was alright which was silver sequins with black stars and one I liked a bit more which was like black denim but covered in silver hot fix rhinestones ! but I couldn’t see the whole vision properly because I looked like a scumbag when I tried it on lmao unwashed hair not a scrap of makeup on etc so I need to do a try on when I’m a bit more turned out lmao then I’ve got some cool glittery socks and it’ll be some form of trainer so I can two step my wee heart out lmao .. I bought silver glitter sambas ages ago but then I saw everyone and their dog getting them too for tour so that put me off wearing them lmao so maybe my samba decons and I’ve been toying with the idea of my yellow Onitsuka tiger Mexico 66’s but idk if the yellow is a bit MUCH with the rest of the outfit being quite dark/black and then have been looking at maybe buying a pair of adidas Japans and they’ve got a silver metallic pair in the asos sale rn

Then I think I’m going for like stars for accessories… I’ve got some fun star hair clips that glow in the dark lmao and some big star earrings and my hair big and full and my natural curlies

i just am so curious as to why the outfit vision this era has been business formal like what does that have to do with the album?

I’ve got a few theories and references about this actually! 1… the big glaring one to me is something Harry mentioned in an interview during promo (I’m 90% sure it was the Tom Powers one but I need to confirm this) he spoke about how in Berlin there’s such an emphasis on everyone being able to go out dancing no matter who you are or what you do you can go from the office to the club and no one blinks an eye. So I think they’re really playing with that idea in part. I also think there’s something to be said about how he’s working now. He had his time off where he blended into crowds and disappeared into pits without being noticed and now he’s at work so they’re playing with that back to work thing. I think that idea is also why they used a clock for teasing and promo build up… he’s literally on the clock and you can work hard etc but there’s always room and time for fun hence the disco timestamp on the clock too and when it hit that time that’s when the fun would happen… it’s very much about you booking in the time to exist freely and have fun and how that’s such an important part of the human lived experience especially at a time where optimisation and the grind is so prevalent. So the outfits are reflective of okay I’m working, work is important and I need to grind to get what I want but it’s also not everything, I can be that person but also go out ! Which links to my first point ! Next idea I have… people used to dress up to go to the club.. you were going out on this night of the week so you were wearing your best outfit, so i think there’s a bit of that! And also I think there’s a lot a lottttt of northern soul influence which I’ve spoken about briefly in the past and I really want to do a full post about! Northern soul dancing was a lot about the feeling of the music which Harry’s spoke about experiencing during his time off and getting swept up in that. Northern soul was sort of born out of the 60s mod subculture and the mods wore a lot of suits and ties and when northern soul started those things carried through before the dancing nights got longer and sweatier and they started implementing some more sportswear and wide leg trousers and the ties started to vanish and patches and badges started to appear instead but if you look up early northern soul especially the dancers are dressed smartly too! And northern soul really came from the area that Harry was born and brought up in and it still exists as a dance style and subculture now that people are interested in being a part of ! And I can for sure see some of those subcultures referenced in the outfits ! Or they were at least on the moodboard planning out the visual storytelling of this era

Lmao a few times… in both his marathons he’s wearing alphafly 3’s and in the runners world shoot the pic of him squat down tying the laces are alphafly 3’s and I also remember a video of him running in London last summer he was wearing a pair too! Seemingly his go to distance running shoe!!
