the walking dead starters ( s7ep7 - part two.)
!!! SPOILER ALERT !!! FOR THOSE WHO HASN’T WATCHED THIS EPISODE YET !!!
“ i want to get to know you a little better, ___”
“ work it out. you’re smart.”
“ you’re smart enough to know that i’m not gonna let this slide.”
“ ahh, i can’t – i can’t do it.”
“ it’s like talking to a birthday present. you gotta take that crap off. i want to see what grandma got me.”
“ do you really want to piss me off?”
“ christ! that is disgusting. no wonder you cover that up.”
“ have you seen it? i mean, have you looked in a mirror? that is gross as hell.”
“ i want to touch it. oh, come on. can i touch it?”
“ damn. holy hell, kid. look, i… i just… it’s easy to forget that you’re… just a kid.”
“ i didn’t mean to hurt your feelings or anything. i… i was just screwing around.”
“ just forget it.”
“ seriously? i NEVER do that.”
“ i guess a kid firing a machine gun is a little bit of a distraction.”
“ all jokes aside, you look rad as hell.”
“ i wouldn’t cover that shit up.”
“ i swear to you, NO ONE is gonna screw with you looking like that. no, sir.”
“ were you gentle? were you kind?”
“ i’m just screwing around, man!”
“ get the hell out.”
“ now, you see? that’s what i’m talking about. men breaking each other’s balls.”
“ what do you like to do for fun?”
“ i want you to sing me a song.”
“ i want something in return for that.”
“ do not let me distract you.”
“ weird, huh?”
“ damn. dead, huh?”
“ you see it happen?”
“ i shot him/her. before it could…”
“ damn, no wonder you’re a little serial killer in the making.”
“ that was an example of breaking balls, by the way.”
“ hold that for me.”
“ what’s about to happen is gonna be hard to watch.”
“ i don’t want to do it.”
“ i wish i could just ignore the rules and let it slide, but i CAN’T.”
“ rules are what make it all work.”
“ i know it’s not easy.”
“ if you try to skirt it, if you try to cut that corner, then it is the iron for you.”
“ on your feet.”
“ ah, that wasn’t so bad, now, was it?”
“ clean that up.”
“ i’m all done, do your thing.”
“ well, the pussy passed out.”
“ it’s settled, we’re square. everything is cool.”
“ i hope we all learned something today, because i don’t EVER want to have to do that again.”
“ some crazy shit, huh? you probably think i’m a lunatic.”
“ come on. let’s go figure out what to do with you.”
“ i didn’t want to come back here.”
“ i’m not trying to definitively stop ya. just maybe slow your roll.”
“ i’m not waiting.”
“ that’s just being stupid.”
“ you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.”
“ it doesn’t matter if you’re stealthy, snipey, gun or knifey. they have the numbers.”
“ someone has to pay the price. even if you’re willing… from all we’ve seen, it’s not a lock you’ll be the one.”
“ will the man who killed the man who saved our lives die?”
“ you’re not talking me out of this, ___!”
“ you owe me, and you owe ___”
“ if there’s a price, i’ll pay it. but don’t you tell me no.”
“ you don’t know anything, you don’t DO anything.”
“ you’re a coward. and you’re weak.”
“ for once, do something useful.”
“ don’t beat yourself up.”
“ you sold ‘em out, right? you had to.”
“ it’s not what happened.”
“ whatever helps you sleep at night.”
“ how do YOU sleep at night?”
“ you should go. someone’s going to see us.”
“ no, you absolutely cannot.”
“ why the hell not?”
“ look at this badass.”
“ you can’t because i’m not done with you.”
“ what? you got something to say?”
“ why haven’t you killed me?”
“ you see, s/he thinks s/he’s holding it together, but you saw it.”
“ you on the other hand… we shall see.”
“ it’s more productive to break you. more fun, too. you thinking that’s stupid?”
“ i’m thinking we’re different.”
“ what do you think i should do? you know i can’t let you go.”
“ so, do i kill you? iron your face? chop off your arm? tell me. what do you think?”
“ i think you should jump out the window to save me the trouble of killing you.”
“ now, there is the ___ that impressed the hell outta me.”
“ i think you’re not saying what you’re gonna do to me, because you’re not going to do anything.”
“ if you knew us, if you knew anything, you WOULD kill us.”
“ maybe you’re right. maybe i can’t.”
“ let’s go for a ride.”
“ if you do anything to him/her…”
“ what next? you want my shoes?”
“ great, great, great, great, great, GREAT!”
“ dooooon’t care ~”
“ cool. i’ll wait.”
“ we’re practically starving here.”
“ starving? you? by ‘practically’ you mean ‘not really.’ ”
“ REALLY? you people seriously don’t have a sense of humor.”
“ excuse me. what’s your name again?”
“ i am sorry for having been so rude to you just now.”
“ it looks like i’m gonna be here for a while.”
“ if you’d like, i think it would be enjoyable to screw your brains out.”
“ i mean, y’know, if you’re agreeable to it.”
“ i am about 50% more into you now. just sayin’.”
“ all right, well, i’m just gonna put my feet up and wait for my stuff to get here.”
“ would you be a lamb and make us a little lemonade?”
“ now, i know i left you some of that good powdered stuff.”
“ take me on the grand tour!”
“ how ‘bout this one?”
“ are you serious, ___? come on.”
“ oh-ho, my… look at this little angel.”
“ i’m sorry for what i said.”
“ i reject that.”
“ you meant it, you felt it, that’s your truth.”
“ i’d like to take it back to awkward silence now.”
“ find what you wanted?”
“ hey, neighbor. why don’t you come by later? we might grill out.”
“ oh, i like it here. i just might have to stay here.”
“ you know, i was thinking about what you said earlier, ___. maybe it IS stupid keeping you alive.”
“ i mean, why am i trying so hard?”
“ maybe i should just bury you in one of those flower beds? huh?”
“ what do you think about that?”

“ bending the rules. what a surprise.”
“ there’s always a reason.”
“ wow. it’s actually you. so cool i’m meeting you.”
“ you should thank your friends. they’re the ones who left you behind.”
“ ehh… i would’ve done the same.”
“ you can’t stop it.”
“ you think we’re a small band. but we are everywhere.”
“ how are you doing?”
“ i hope you had a nice sleep. cause we got a busy, busy day ahead.”
“ what are you doing?”
“ i’m reading.”
“ you need to fix this situation.”

“ listen to me! ___’s not here. i am.”
“ get up, take a shower, do that disco vampire thing with your hair.”
“ you will come, you will be your old self and the rumors will stop.”
“ why are you helping me?”
“ people think you like me, and as long as they’re scared of you, i get to keep breathing.”
“ are you sure about this?”
“ this is so stupid.”
“ and isn’t that why you have lawyers?”
“ right, ‘cause it’s ‘just’ money.”
“ or another choice is i could leave. i don’t want to, but… it is an option.”
“ maybe they were here the whole time and we just didn’t notice.”
“ i’ll just… stay here if that’s okay.”
“ s/he’s still dead.”
“ i know s/he’s still dead.”
“ i ran into some technical difficulties. nothing that i can’t fix.”
“ is everything plugged in?”
“ try turning it on and off.”
“ people have made sacrifices for you.”
“ you know, you make an interesting point.”
“ they want to see your face.”
“ no awakening for this guy.”
“ holy smacks, is that…?”
“ listen to me!”
“ great. thank you.”
“ i was gonna replace that lamp.”
“ so you can’t make some kind of gadget to figure it out?”
“ let me see it.”
“ so, let’s find out who the traitor is, shall we?”
“ good bluff.”
“ my, my. you scrub up nice.”
“ am i early?”
“ well, don’t say i didn’t warn ya, but… i did warn ya.”
“ you have been such a friend. tell me, what should i do now?”
“ well, i’m glad you can find the humor in it.”
“ did you really think i would be so easy to manipulate?”
“ what was your plan? take advantage of me while i was in a weakened state?”
“ my dear, you are tragically out of your depth.”
“ you get the message? we don’t work for you no more. your day is done, freak.”
“ how dare you?! i will gut you!”
“ i will hang your entrails from every lamppost in this city!”
“ walk away quiet. maybe we’ll send him/her back in one piece.”
“ i will kill them. every one of them!”
“ so, we’re good now?”
“ you were here when they attacked. you defended this house against them.”
“ and that’s the night i changed.”
“ don’t waste your breath.”
“ good cop, bad cop doesn’t work on me.”
“ you think this is funny?! how about this?”
“ if you insist.”
“ don’t touch me.”
“ what the hell was that?”
“ you shouldn’t have done that.”
“ really? you guys can bend the rules but i can’t?”
“ none of us should. me, them, you… but especially not you. you’re better than that.”
“ aw, that’s so sweet.”
“ would you stop it?”
“ look, you want to blame me for ___’s death, that’s fine. i can live with that, knowing you’re okay. but don’t let your hatred of me turn you into something you’re not.”
“ or what? if i change too much you’re gonna put two in my heart like you did to him/her?”
“ don’t ever touch me again or tell me what to do.”
“ i’m already on it, let’s go!”
“ no one’s going anywhere.”
“ we’ve got a show to do, and as you know the show must go on.”
“ boo! ha, ha, ha.”
“ wow… well that is quite a story.”
“ you know, i know i’ve been dead, but doesn’t that seem kinda crazy to you?”
“ hey, maybe you’re dreaming. try shooting yourself.”
“ they think i’m pretty great, huh?”
“ lunatics and idiots? ooh, my kind of people.”
“ sorry. head’s still a little fuzzy.”
“ you know, i was just reborn. last year was nothing but darkness… as far as the eye can see.”
“ i know you, right?”
“ why? ginger’s not your type?”
“ how’s it going between you and him/her? you still together, or…?”
“ oh, that’s a shame. i really liked you guys. hey, what happened?”
“ glad you find it funny.”
“ i get why you don’t.”
“ wow! you miss a lot being dead.”
“ you know what? go ahead, enjoy it.”
“ i see your point. to business.”
“ well, i suppose i should start by killing him/her.”
“ oh… who beat me to it?”
“ that son of a bitch is always upstaging me.”
“ well, i guess i’m just missing one thing then… where is my face?”
“ it’s all here?”
“ we did it, baby.”
“ can we just get out of this town?”
“ hey, smile. we won.”
“ yeah, smile. you won.”
“ go away, kid.”
“ you caught me. what do you want me to say?”
“ i just wanted to make sure i got it right.”
“ that about it?”
“ you want to hate me, that’s your choice.”
“ don’t ever come back!”
“ the time has come to reveal ourselves.”
“ there’s no way out. let the hostages go.”
“ you’re outside? you are, aren’t you?”
“ you don’t have what it takes.”
“ no, you’re the understudy pretending to be a star.”
“ you’re a fraud.”
“ well, for the record, you did one thing s/he never did… boring me.”
“ look at that. no charisma, no stage presence.”
“ keep watching. you don’t wanna miss what happens next.”
“ oh, sorry! didn’t see you.”
“ put your weapons down!”
“ i won’t hurt you, i just want to talk to you.”
“ you can’t do this!”
“ did you know?”
“ yes, it was obvious.”
“ you lied to me.”
“ i didn’t tell you the truth.”
“ didn’t seem like a very attractive alternative.”
“ fight me!”
“ hang on. we got a busy night ahead.”
“ so… how’s it look?”
“ you wouldn’t lie to me, right?”
“ say… you’re not mad, are you?”
“ mad? what could i possibly be mad about? huh?”
“ oh, buddy. you brought me back from the dead.”
“ what’s a cut off face between friends?”
“ i guess that’s true.”
“ you guessed right. bingo.”
“ what are- what are we doing?”
“ i will tear this city apart, brick by brick!”
“ is that really you? are- are you okay?”
“ i… i can’t talk long. i snuck away to the phone.”
“ who has you? where are you?”
“ hurry. hurry, please.”
“ you need to see this.”
“ am i alive? can you hear me?”
“ ah, screw it. let’s do it.”
“ as you may know, i died. uh-oh… but take it from me, death is dull. but coming back - that is something.”
“ leave it to dying to give you a whole new perspective on life.”
“ in the darkness, there are no rules.”
“ so tonight, do what you want. kill who you want. hmm?”
“ oh, and uh… i don’t forgive you for my face.”
“ you’ll never make it in time.”

had it been the right thing to share? thomas was always so reluctant to give up more information than he needed to, and in arkham he had likely told john more about himself than any other patient. the truth was that he felt an immense loneliness and the irony is that the people that he felt the most similar to were the ones that he was treating. the ones who had been used and abused, who had been let down by society. it was john’s situation that had compelled him to share it. he had a great capacity for empathy and he was sorry that after john had found someone he could connect to that they had let him do. he had come to believe that with a positive support system that john could make real progress. if only people wouldn’t let him down. “thank you,” he said, giving a small nod of acknowledgment. but his life had not been so different from the lives of others in his neighbourhood. and he knew he had ended up fairing better than them all. he’d been lucky to get out of those circumstances, so he doesn’t like to complain. it’s not quite tension, but a certain refocusing as john said that the person he’d attacked might have deserved it. “perhaps,” he said vaguely, as if reluctant to agree. but oh, he wished to. thomas has embarked on a mission to punish those he believed deserved it. “but there is a danger in allowing ourselves to believe we have that power to judge,” he cautioned, knowing it was hypocritical of him to say so. but he knew that not everyone could be as level-headed as him to make these kinds of decisions. “we are not all capable of taking that on. it should be left to the law or… well, some say, to batman.”
as thomas went on about the dangers of believing one had the power to judge, a mild disinterest could be seen in john’s eyes as he half-listened, thinking to himself that there was no way thomas could actually believe any of what he was just saying. to trust the law to decide what was just and not... bringing the cup back up to have something to do while he had to listen to the nonsense he’d heard so many times before, he started to drink from it, only to choke on the coffee once thomas mentioned batman.
leaning forwards, violently coughing, john quickly put the cup down onto the table, a small gasp of air taken while blinking away some tears forming from coughing so hard. and in between the coughing fit, you could hear him chuckle to himself. then, once the fit finally stopped, he sat up straight again and LAUGHED.
“ oh, yeah... leave it to the people who hides behind the word ‘justice’ and uses it as an excuse to do whatever they want. hurt whoever they want, all for ‘‘ the greater good,, ” john said sarcastically, an amused grin still on his lips. of course, he had a lot to say about batman in particular, but despite everything, john still intended to keep batman's identity a secret, so he refrained from talking about him directly in case thomas would pick up on it.
“ you really think batman or the law is more capable of making that judgment than anyone else? the police that is filled to the brim with corruption. the agency that’s been doing experiments on innocent people, have made biological weapons in secrecy and who opens fire without warning. batman, who despite claiming he stands for justice, protects just as many criminals as he goes after... that’s the kind of people we should leave the judging to...? you can’t be serious!”
SCREENCAPS OF TELLTALE’S BATMAN: THE ENEMY WITHIN, EPISODE 4.
below, you’ll find links to download screencaps from batman: the enemy within, the fourth episode. the total file is relatively big; it’s approximately 15,31 GB and contains 23 557 SCREENCAPS. i went ahead and deleted around 16K caps that was either too similar to one another, or didn’t contain any characters and/or only npcs/minor characters that only appear in one episode, so as to make the file a bit smaller and more sorted and suited for icon making and rp purposes, as that’s kind of what i did this for. other than that, there might be some unnecessary caps left that i overlooked. these caps also contains both the end-scene for the vigilante path and the villain path. also, with this being a choice-based game, obviously, some scenes / choices you might be looking for may not be in this batch, as this is my personal playthrough with my personal choices.
i’ll probably post a sorted download later when i’ve finished capping the other episodes.
( also please lmk if the download links doesn’t work, as this is my first time trying to share files through dro.pb.ox)

this will forever be one of my favorite screencaps from btew, lol
almost done w/ the caps for ep4. i managed to accidentally delete the ep5 villain route vidclips so i gotta replay that again (RIP,) but i’m gonna play the vigilante route now and clip that while the vigilante path choices for ep4 gets capped. ( i wanted to add both the vigilante choices and villain choices from ep4 into the ep4 caps since they are pretty different, so i replayed it twice, but now i gotta replay it a third time to play the villain route again after playing the vigilante route, bc i’m a dumb, pfffft.)

it had felt like gotham was on fire. the chaos occurring all around the city. and who was in the right? that had been hard to tell, especially with the information that john revealed him. certainly, thomas didn’t think that this group that john had joined was good for him, but… it didn’t entirely seem like the forces in opposition were so saint-like either. or perhaps it was simply easy to not trust a man like john because of what he was like. thomas knew that many might see john as crazy―a wide brush stroke used to dismiss people. but thomas knew he wasn’t so bad. but he was capable of violence. but cold-blooded murder, just like that? john didn’t seem like the type to just attack unprovoked. or perhaps he wanted to see the good in him, given their talks. “i’m sorry, john.” he said softly, sincerely, meeting his gaze. then, his eyes lowered to the floor, his fingers lacing together, tightening and untightening. “when i was young… there was a kid in my neighbourhood. a thug. a big brute. he’d beat people up and take their money, or whatever they had. he’d beaten me up loads of times. this one particular evening i was on my way home to talk to my father… well, you see, i’d stopped living there for some time… i was due to go off to university soon and well… i encountered him. i was foolish to want to fight back. it made him mad. i had a knife with me, with protection. i’d only meant to scare him, but… i’d ended up stabbing him. i ran from the scene… i was so scared. i went to someone and told them what happened and they believed me. protected me. i don’t know… what would have happened if they hadn’t.” it had been difficult to reveal the story, but he wanted john to know he understood, in some small way, even if things had gone better for thomas. i have blood on my hands too. “i’m sorry your friend didn’t trust you.”
as he listened to thomas’ story, a somber look took place upon his features. of course, john couldn’t claim to have experienced the same situation as thomas, but he did know what it was like to be beaten up for no good reason, time and time again. both physically and psychologically, he’d taken quite a lot of beatings in the past. he’d been there. he could relate.
then, came thomas’ confession that he had stabbed someone when he was young, and while john had pretty much already convinced himself that he saw some darkness in thomas from all their little talks back in arkham, hearing it from him now still took him by surprise — perhaps more so because he hadn’t expected thomas to willingly share something like that with him. he always seemed so careful with what he shared when it came to his personal life.
eyes slowly widened, and he ended up lowering the cup back down to his lap while blinking a couple of times. “ yeah...” he then muttered sadly in response to thomas telling him again that he was sorry. “ and i’m sorry to hear you were beaten up as a kid,” john told him back, with the same sincerity as thomas. the part about thomas having stabbed the other didn’t matter to him. to john, it seemed justified enough. just like killing those three agents seemed justified to him as well. “ sounds to me like he deserved what he got...” he added thoughtfully, and for a moment, he almost forgot he was a fugitive currently hiding out in his doctor’s apartment that he had broken into.

“ pfff, yeah, me either. i mean, their clothes, their decorations, even their food- it’s all so bland and uptight and without personality...!” john said, making a small grimace. “ i bet they must be pretty miserable. i know i would be if that was my taste.” // @apocalypseraised
