Igusa Matsuyama, artist for the Story of Seasons series since 1996, joined in on #30wonderfulseasons, an event by (sorry if I missed anyone's tumblr @'s!) @yazziescribbles, @katiekatart, samtoywiz101, acornion.art, and @mizziecornart! The event is a drawing challenge DTIYS event, where you draw a scene featuring:

One favorite character

One favorite animal

One favorite thing

and you can see the full art in the link posted above. There's also artwork and a photo of Igusa's beloved puppy, Guriko.

It's really wonderful to see all the great art people have been making to celebrate the series, and it's even more fun with the original artist themselves pitching in!

Bandai Japan Announces Hello Kitty 2024 Tamagotchi

The Hello Kitty Tamagotchi is back for an encore! To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Hello Kitty, Bandai Japan is partnering up with Sanrio to deliver a new Hello Kitty Tamagotchi. Based on the Tamagotchi Nano platform, this Tamagotchi will feature seven Tamagotchi characters including some new faces to the Tamagotchi Nano including Neliatchi and Shykutchi! Same as the previous version, each character can score a Hello Kitty bow under certain conditions.

Feed your character pie and milk, Hello Kitty will even clean your room, but don’t leave Hello Kitty alone!

The mini games include piano game, balloon game, and a new game called apple game. In the piano game you’ll press the right buttons of the piano as the hearts fall. In the balloon game you’ll gran balloons while avoiding crows. Lastly, in the apple game it appears you’ll be eating apples!

Available in two shell designs, Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Red, and Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Sky Blue. Both are adorable! Priced at ¥2,860 including tax and available on August 3rd, 2024!
