One of my favorite beatle moments of all time is when in the 70s Paul and Linda are visiting John, and they’re in this room that has a piano, which of course Paul has to play. And then John and Linda literally just get up and go to another room

4711 Original Cologne rumored on the Internet to be worn by John.

Lime, Basil & Mandarin by Jo Malone - Paul told he wears this in a question from a fan on his website.

What strikes me is that the scent profiles of these are VERY similar. The Lime, Basil & Mandarin just has deeper and a bit earthy base notes in comparison to 4711. I have them both myself and this is just what my nose can distinguish.

I can't help but wonder if Paul smelled the Lime, Basil & Mandarin and thought "This smells like John, I need the biggest bottle IMMEDIATELY."
