some more headcanons.
Corry is of medium height (170-ish), lanky, kind of look generally malnourished.
They have depression that has gotten a little better since they were thirteen and now consists mostly of short, but unfortunately rather frequent episodes when they can barely move or leave the bed. Their general mood is rather low, usually, and they have little energy overall.
There is a whole empty world they call ‘their sandbox’ which is lifeless and messed up several times over. Gravity is on and off, scenery looks like a drunk Picasso’s dream, and the amount of firewalling they have put all over the place is impressive.
some headcanons.
-- Corry appeared in the Underground when they were thirteen-ish.
Their world has some differences from the ‘original’ Undertale world; it is randomly glitchy, Alphys and Undyne have been together from before the final human came, and for some reason there is an entity better known as Comic Papyrus (or CP. or Cap) in the place of two normal skeletons.
There is no evidence of Corry’s existence before the Underground ---- no papers, no known relatives (or no relatives that’d care to make themselves known), not a single trace anywhere that would tell you anything about their origins. That has made them a sort of a local cryptid. (Together with their altogether wild ways.)
Corry has been raised by Cap and, to a slightly lesser extent, the Dreemurrs. They have been officially adopted and bear their last name with pride, though their bond with their guardian Cap is somewhat stronger.
The six human souls in their world have been given robot bodies. They now live on the surface. It is not ideal, but it is better than being stuck in a jar. Corry knows the green soul, Louis ---- he runs a bakery in their town.
There is no Asriel/Flowey. For some reason, if you tried to speak those names aloud, all that would come out of your mouth would be random gibberish.

“ Any and all code-based living beings and entities are welcome here.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
“ This? This is my bodyguard. Her name’s Jessie. Just. What a gal. Ngh... ”

// Well, I guess I just wanted to say I am starting to pick myself up.
My grandfather’s passing just three days after my birthday was sudden and unanticipated, and it dealt a blow to my mental health despite the fact I always knew he was going to die one day and thought I made peace with it. We haven’t been close ever, but he was a part of my life, and now that this part is gone, I need to get used to it. I got more anxious and paranoid in that month, I had a couple of depressive episodes, short but hard, I gained a little weight because I skipped gym and kinda ate my grief away, I got behind on social contact and stopped doing things I like and enjoy because they just stopped feeling good.
Bu I am starting to pick myself up.
I am trying to go back into the habit of going to the gym at least 2-3 times a week, I’m going to watch what I eat better now, I started making bracelets again because it calms me down, I will try to spend more time on my blogs. I hope I will feel better soon, because I don’t want to live as a wreck. There is nothing that can be done, now, and the only thing I can do is to live on.
So, well, this is my apology for not being here too much and kind of my promise as well, and also my way of saying thank you for still sticking with me and being kind and supportive. I really appreciate it and I love every one of you. Thank you.
- Ab
They are standing at the foot of the memorial.
There is no grave there; not anymore. The golden flowers still bloom, unperturbed - deaf and blind to the world around them. They smell just as sweet as always. Unbroken; untouched. Gentle stems coil around the stone of the statue.
“ Hi. It’s me. ”
Corry eases themselves, sliding down; cross-legged, hunched, their pose loose. There is nothing to fear there - no monsters to hunt them down, no ghosts of past. There is no grave there anymore. No small corpses, rotting beneath the yellow blooms. No dust to spread on the soft petals. Yet the flowers remain. The consequences to actions never taken.
“ Look down to see. ”
There are no corpses, no dust. No names to engrave on the useless tombstone. No real memories, except those in the grasp of Corry’s own mind. ( Small feet upon the stone; claws clattering gently in the silence. Laughter. Smiling faces; eyes widening in joy. ) Everything’s a blur; on purpose. Pictures and sounds are left in their parents’ minds, vague, diluted - as if touched by time. All fake. All fabricated to fill the void - empty spaces in the photos; figures of their children cut out of the story.
“ From a star... ”
Say hello to Rey and Carrie for me, please? their mother asked them when she heard where they are heading. Her eyes were sad, distant. Corry smiled and hid their face on her chest, breathing in - Toriel always smelled of sweetness and fire. It is new names, each time: mind struggling to fill in the blanks. No one questions why the names change so much. This is how it works; the world hates the void and the excess. It fights both, as well as it can. No one questions anything, ever.
“ That’s where you are. ”
This is how it works: a rusty knife and a worn bandage, wrapped in an old sweater, rotting in the ground below the statue. Pollen and dust, the normal, harmless dust, settle on its horns, on the crumbling, unrecognisable face. The music box never plays anymore, no matter how hard you try to wiggle the little silver key; but they know the melody by heart now, so they sing instead. This is how it works, in this world. One equals three. A happy ending equals three lives ruined, lost. One voice rises, and the melody flows; nothing more, nothing less.
“ If I could, I’d hold you close; but I can’t reach that far... ”
The golden flowers still bloom, and they are just as soft as Corry remembers when they slump against the statue, resting their head on a stone shoulder covered in fluffy, fur-like moss.
“ Shining bright all day and night, little star, how brave you are... ”
There is nothing to fear here, but a lot to grieve, and their voice is quiet. Gentle. It is almost as if they don’t want to wake up the sleeping children.
“ If I could, I’d shine with you... ”
A gear turns in the long broken music box, and it plays a sudden single note - quiet and sweet and forlorn, and then it falls silent again - for good, this time.
“ ...but I can’t reach that far. ”
“ ‘time travel has to be taken seriously’, say i as i reload ten times in a morning because i Keep Forgetting To Drink My Coffee Before It Gets Cold. ”
" ...sup. "
