Following the other male, Erik quietly observed his friend, locking the door behind him without any movement of his body. It was not that he was going to do something to Charles, he just wanted to make sure they will have a private night, without having people getting in their way with stupid things. “Yes, it’s alright.” He then took a seat and waited for the other to serve the glasses. “And Moira? I haven’t seen her for a while…”
“Moira?” He glanced up for a moment and crinkled the space between his eyes in thought. “I believe she went out for the day. Evening.” He corrected himself, “You know how they are about confidential matters.” Charles smiled to himself, as though retelling some sort of joke he had overheard between children that would be both amusing and foolish. “She works far too much than is necessary. But she wont hear it.” Once he had the glasses served, the telepath approached the other male and handed him his glass.
“Shit. Shit. Shit!” She peeped her head outside the curtains, watching the telepath wander around the room. She gasped when he stood up from behind the couch, quickly hiding herself behind the curtains. She hesitated for a moment, before crawling out of the curtains and making her way towards the doorway. “No one’s here.” she whispered to herself, crawling faster.
Of course, he was eventually going to notice she was there. Had she stayed calm, he might not have had her presence flaring out at him but the moment she began to panic and move, he became more aware. “What?” Charles spoke as he could hear the various thoughts from the young woman. Whipping his head around when he heard the light thumps from her crawling, Charles spotted the young girl and though he thought to stop her telepathically, he didn’t think that would help against someone that small and seemingly harmless. “Wait! Stay there.” He commanded and tried to sound both firm and at the least nonthreatening.
“I’m stating my conditions so you don’t expect anything more than what I came here for.”
Though he would have loved to bite back with equally curt remark, Charles kept his mouth shut and only let his gaze dart away from her for a moment. Humming to himself for a second, the telepath shrugged, trying to seem less bothered than he actually was. The key to most things, of course, was control. Control was strength and those that had the tendency to lash out emotionally had very little of it. “Very well, then. Would you like to take your old room? Or does it make you feel a little too comfortable?” Sure there was some bite to the remark but he didn’t think it was anything other than a passing snide comment.

“I am here only for the night. I’m being chased and have nowhere else to hide. I have not ‘returned to you’, and I will be gone at first light, is that clear?”
“I’d rather if you don’t patronize me, Raven. I have never heard a person more determined to state their conditions that didn’t already question them.”
She could feel the warmth from the fire already dissolving the water off her fair skin. Keeping her eyes shut, the silence made her feel at pace. Suddenly, she heard footsteps from upstairs. Her blue eyes went wide, getting up on her feet. “I thought no one was home!” She thought. Now she was in trouble. If the owner of this home found her, he or she might call the police on her. Panic started crawling along her body, looking around to find a way for her to hide. Her blue eyes caught the glimpse of the long curtains, shrugging she made a dash and hid behind them, her bare feet peeping from the hem.
Charles wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about having to look around for someone inside his home, so there was very little motivation with his actions. Once he reached the bottom of the stairs the telepath loitered for a while, his hand on still trailing along the railing until he brought himself to move forward and continue on.
About to walk into the parlor, Charles stopped himself when he felt something coming from the other room. Cautiously walking in, he narrowed his eyes and looked around, not seeing anyone there immediately. Not paying any attention to the curtains, the brunet looked at the fire curiously and wondered who had left it on. Perhaps, it was Hank, who was peculiarly no around. It wasn’t the first time he did it, so he wasn’t completely surprised by the action. Sighing, he looked at the floor and noticed a drying spot on the rug he might have missed had he not been paying particular attention to the fire place. Looking around, Charles checked behind the couch then began to look around. “Someone’s here?” He asked curiously and not particularly loud to avoid someone asking him why he was speaking to the air if no one was around.

Britney looked up at him as she shook her head. “I know she’s okay. We have like a connection. Her and I.. and I would have felt it if she wasn’t alive.” She told with a short nod, not wanting to even think about that possibility. She was grateful that he was doing this for one who he barely knew, so she didn’t mind on waiting. She can wait. “Okay, yeah. That’s totally okay. It’s also okay if you don’t find her, or like give up. I’ll totally understand.” She told him. Even though she wanted him to help her, she wouldn’t be too sad if he said no. Britney stopped in front of him before peaking inside with her eyes in curiousity. She looked back at Charles. “I don’t suppose I can come in there with ya..?” She asked.
Charles shook his head, it is probably better if you don’t come in. He offered her a short simple smile not wanting to seem completely rude for not letting her in. The room was a completely private one and he felt in order to let her in he needed to know her much more than he did. “Do you mind talking to me about her a little bit?” While she would be in the forefront of her mind, Charles was going to try and tap into her memories so he would be able to see her face and observe her a bit, just so he would know he had the right person when he looked for her using cerebro.

The German was listening to everything the other male was saying, and it made sense. Besides, wasn’t Hank already corrupted? It would only take Raven a small smile to get the male doing whatever she wanted. It was not strange, he knew it was probably the hormones besides knowing the kid probably was excited to see woman’s attention his way. When he saw Charles stopping, he stared at him confused until he heard his voice again. Smirking, Erik only made a soft movement of his fingers before the door would unlock itself for them. “Your majesty.”
As soon as the door unlocked, Charles walked in and made a face at the German. Not saying anything else, the telepath quickly went to his cabinet and then twisted his mouth, he already forgot what the other wanted but as soon as he saw the bottle of chilled wine, he released a small gasp and took it out. “Aha. Got it. You don’t mind this one, do you? It’s aged, so it is good. But I hope you like this brand. ” He grabbed a couple of glasses and gingerly placed them on the desk as he began to serve. Even if he had asked if the brand was alright, Charles didn’t expect the taller man to tell him not to serve it. The question was more or less empty and simply informative.

The heavy water droplets pounded hard against the ground, the thunder roared its loudest throughout the night. The Vampire ran through the woods, searching for a place she could rest until the storm was at rest. Her blue hues caught the glimpse of a large mansion up ahead. She speeded quickly, feeling the rain splashing against her skin, damping her hair, making her clothes become drenched. She made her way to the front doors of the mansion, looking around. Yes, she knew she was better than trespassing - but where else could she go? Without anymore hesitation, she opened the door and made her way inside. It was quite big, and empty. “Hello?” She asked, waiting for an answer. Silence. ‘Guess no one is home.’ She thought, removing her shoes and putting them in the closet, along with her coat. She looked around as her feet traveled to the living room, amazed to see how big it was. Seeing millions of books all snuggled in book shelves. She sat on the floor, hugging her knees close to her chest, looking straight at a small fire in the fire place.
Not hearing a single thing, Charles only drank from a crystal cup some whiskey and read over several files. Nothing particularly interesting nor urgent but for nights like these where it seemed like a chore to do anything that actually needed to get done, Charles supposed it was viable enough to pull out simple filing tasks in order to occupy his more ‘lazy’ days.
Filling the silence within his office, only a slow track off an old vinyl played and the sounds of the rain hitting the thin glass windows accompanied the tune. The telepath didn’t mind the slow pace of the day, he tended to revel in those tranquil moments, however the moment he felt a slight flick at the back of his head, informing him of a new presence within the mansion, Charles furrowed his brows and looked around as though wondering if he imagined it. Unsure, Charles stood up from his chair and humored his curiosity by stepping out of his office to investigate. Even if he was skeptical of it entirely.

Britney listened to his reasoning and frowned lightly. She realized she hasn’t thought this through, but in a way she didn’t care. She needed to find her best friend. No matter what. “Umm no. I am alone in this.. but I just know she needs my help.” She said with a nod as she followed him, not exactly sure yet to where they were going. she continued on listening to him, biting her lower lip in thought. “I know that it’ll might make matters worse.. since it’s like dark times and all that bad stuff, but I need to find her. Before she does something incredibly awful.. I wanna take that chance.” She finally said in a soft voice.
Charles nodded in understanding. “You also are aware that she might not be...alright?” Because he didn’t want to completely shock her if he were to discover she was not alive any more. At the least, in throwing the possibility around if it were to come to that, he would have an easier time giving her the news. “I just want you to be aware of every risk. If I can’t ‘find’ her. That would be the only possibility. Also, this might take a while, since I have never been in contact with her. It could take days.” He had stopped in front of a door, and didn’t exactly plan on letting her in. Friendly or not, letting someone in to the room holding cerebro was not anything he would do unless he were well acquainted with a person.

Erik smirked and looked down at the ground for a moment before looking back at the other male. “I have to, this is your place, not mine. It wouldn’t feel right for me to go around taking what I like or want.“ At the moment the telepath tapped his shoulder, the German was ready to follow him. “Thank you for thinking that of me. Not over indulgent.” He grinned. “I promise this will stay between us. No one else will know about the wine.”
“I knew you would say that. But I trust you would have more discretion than anyone else with that sort of permission. For instance, I don’t trust Hank as well as anyone might think I should. I know he would rationalize every ‘need’ of his and buy whatever it is he feels he wants for the lab. You on the other hand, may have desires or wants every now and then, but like I said. You don’t over indulge. Besides, like I said. I trust you.” He licked his own lips and sucked on the lower one for a moment while he stopped at his office door and was about to unlock it with the key but then looked at his friend and smiled. “Do you mind? I think it will take you less.”

“I thought that’s how winners look?” Erik chuckled for a moment. “I heard you have good wine stored somewhere in this mansion. Is that only for you or you can share?”
Wondering who exactly told him about the wine, Charles let out a short wistful sigh. “Well, considering you aren’t like any of the teens in the house - over indulgent - I see no problem in sharing with you. I can’t believe you really have to ask. Honestly, Erik. I thought we were more than that.” He teased and tapped his shoulder before gesturing him to follow. “I’ll show you where it is, but only you.” He licked his lips and slipped four of his fingers into the pockets of his trousers.

Twists mouth and makes a sound because he is absolutely right but he damn well wont tell him. “You are much too pleased.”
