Maleficent watched the dragon with curiosity. She was facinated by the reptile right in front of her, after all dragons had become so rare that finding one in the wilds was definitely nearly impossible. “What a marvelous creature.” She said, not caring if she would wake the beast up or not.

Toothless narrowed his eyes at the strange woman— he growled lowly, as a warning. "Marvelous?" He spoke, somehow knowing that she could understand him.

"Alright then…" So the creature could understand her. That was a good thing. Now there was just finding where he came from and helping him get back. "C’mon. We gotta get moving. Let’s get you out of the forest, pretty sure you can’t fly anywhere with the trees in the way." 

With that, the young girl turned and began walking, waving a hand for the dragon to follow.

Toothless followed her quite happily, maybe she could take him back to Hiccup. She seemed like she knew where she was going, so he walked behind her, of course, stopping to sniff anything that seemed interesting enough.

"Stop it, you're hurting me!"

Toothless immediately got off her, eyes wide and puppy-like, ears flattened down, a soft croon making its way out of his mouth.

        Po shifted ever so slightly back,           raising his paws as if that would           create any effective distance and           separation. “Hey, there.” He           greeted with a casual and           surprisingly light tone.

          “Chill out, big guy, I’m not           gonna hurt you or anything.”

         The dragon just stares curiously at the          large, fluffy animal. The other has just          declared he's not going to hurt him—          but should he trust him? Toothless          reaches forward and pokes his belly          with his paw.
