50 days of tyler lockwood: Day 42
fearsiren:
“For one you seem to be rather clueless and two, I didn’t realize being somewhat fond of someone was a crime.”
“Clueless?” He questioned with a slightly raised brow before ordering two more shots. “Sorry, look, I’m just... this thing-- or whatever you want to call it, is for the mayor who was my mother. So, I’m just ‘celebrating her life’..”
bonnieslegacy:
Bonnie knew Tyler was beginning to grow sick of people constantly offering their condolences, or pitying him, or apologizing for his loss and she knew that the last thing he needed was the same from her, so instead, she sat wordlessly at his side before placing her hand on his arm and giving him a small smile, “Another round on me?”
Tyler looked over to his friend when she touched his arm, returning the small smile with one of his own. “Thanks, Bon, sound perfect.” His gratitude was for her being there and for the next round, but he left it open for her to interpret for herself, she was a smart girl after all. It was almost easier to be here with friends around, he wasn’t the only one hurting and that was-- in a strange way, comforting.
kolmourned:
“And here I was hoping we could be mates. We both want the same thing.”
“Not even if you compelled would I be your friend, but I’ll bite. What could we both possibly want that’s the same?”
darkestnix:
“I feel like this is where we’re supposed to bond over lack of mothers with sad music playing in the background but I think we can skip that.”
“Yeah, good move, man.”
vcmpbarbie:
Caroline wasn’t really sure how she felt about the whole thing. Sure, it wasn’t a bad concept in theory but with some of the people that she managed to spot coming through the door, she had a feeling this whole thing would turn out to be a very bad idea. Caroline gave Tyler a light smile knowing that she didn’t need to ask him if he was sure. “If you want to leave – we’ll leave.”
“I just cant deal with this right now.” Tyler admitted to his girlfriend as he moved closer to wrap his arm around her waist. He knew she would be understanding, that’s just who she was. “Lets just, go back to my house. The good alcohol is there anyways, unlike this lame party.” He put some emphasis on the word party as his way to express how much he disapproved of it all. His mother just died and people found it appropriate to throw a party, even if they would deny thats what this really was.
fearsiren:
“And here I was hoping we’d run into each other again under better circumstances.”
“Welcome to my hometown, where you can count on shit timing. So, what’s got you hoping to run into me?”
torturingmeg:
“I know that feeling,” Meg murmured in Tyler’s direction, already noticing that he was the son of the deceased. How sad.
“No offense, but I doubt that.”
kolmourned:
“Don’t worry, Tyler. You’ll live forever. You’ll get over it. Eventually.”
Tyler had no patience to deal with any of the Mikaelsons, now more than ever. “You know what would be even better than that quality piece of advice? You leaving me the hell alone.”
Tyler didn’t want to be here, in fact, he was only here because there would be alcohol. The hybrid downed the shot as he heard what had to be the 100th person give him their condolences, plus the looks of pity he was getting really was setting him over the edge.
vcmpbarbie:
“Any excuse to have a party,“ Caroline mumbled against her breath as she moved through the crowd of people. Despite wanting to be anywhere else but there,s he was more worried about Bonnie and Elena and what would happen if a certain siren showed up.
Tyler has been getting closer to leaving as the night went by, and a soft sigh of relief hit him when he saw the familiar blonde. “Care...” Tyler greeted him as he come up to her, hearing the tail end of her statement. “You know what? Lets get out of here.”
vcmpbarbie:
Caroline couldn’t argue with anything that Tyler was saying because it was all true. Klaus did a lot of things to all of them including but obviously not limited to killing Jenna and Tyler’s mother. It wasn’t far fetched to believe that Tyler wanted to get revenge especially over that. “I know it’s not fair.” None of it was fair. “I know I may not always love you in the way you want me to and I may not always support you how you want me to but I’m trying.” She couldn’t help that she worried about Tyler. She couldn’t help but worry that something might happen to him and if she lost him – Caroline didn’t know what she would do. “So whatever you need me to do…I’ll do.”
“Caroline, I can’t promise you anything. Klaus is in town. He killed my mom. I can try not to do anything but I can’t just sit around and do nothing if we think of another way to stop him, I’m not hesitating. Like I’ve said, this started with me, and I’m the last of his hybrid so this has to end with me.” Tyler repeated his words. He honestly could care less if whatever they had to do, if that meant he had to go down with him, as long as Klaus was gone and out of their lives-- out of his friends lives and out of Caroline’s life... before he killed anyone else they cared about. “Right now, I just... I just don’t want to talk about this anymore. I know you’re trying. I love you for it, Care. I’ll try for you too but that’s all I can give you right now. Just-- stay. Here, with me. That’s all I need. That and a really nice distraction.” He added in a failed attempt to lighten the mood. A small smile reached his lips before he leaned forward to touch his lips to hers.
bekahmikxelson:
“ And why should I leave? This was my home way before it was your’s Tyler. If you think me leaving will make Klaus leave than you’re wrong. He’s looking over another blonde now, your girl if you haven’t noticed. ”
“I think we’ve all seen how your absence doesn’t affect your brother in any way shape or form, Rebekah. Multiple examples of it, actually. I’m not worried about him when it comes to Caroline because she has more reasons to be disgusted by him than there are to count . Nice try, though. But if you want to get under my skin, you’re gonna have to find another way.”
oftornwings:
“Ten bucks says I don’t care.” Gabriel looked over the pool table before looking back at the man, “This is how you pass your time? A game of get the ball in a hole?”
“Seriously, all you new comers really don’t understand how this betting thing works, do ya? Don’t hate the game till you’ve given it a try. And no, it’s one of the ways I distract myself, but it does pass the time, so I guess... sure.”
bluntlittleinstrument:
“Call it twenty and you got yourself a fair bet.” Dean spent a majority of his free time hustling others playing billiards and he got pretty good at it. Once the other man finished racking the balls, he bent down and took a shot with the cue ball, sinking in about a few striped-colored. “It’s all yours.”
“Okay, twenty it is then!” Tyler chuckled, pursing his lips as he nodded his head. He could already tell that this was going to be interesting. Leaned down to line everything up. Once he took his shot, sinking a solid into the far left pocket, he glanced up to the other with a smirk, moving to line up yet another shot. He repeated this two more times before finally missing a shot, grimacing to himself. “You’ve put a lot of hype on your game-- time to deliver, if you can.”

glbrtisms:
“Tyler, you’re a hybrid. You can compel yourself a free drink or your way into college, you know. That’s better than trying to scam little old me. And unless you want a dart into your eye it’d be better to skip that too. We can just go drink, since that’s something we’re both good at.”
“Not really interested in college, but hey, I’m all for the free drink part.” Tyler canted his head as he grinned. “I think I’ll pass on having to heal from a dart in my eye, something tells me an eye kabob will ruin my day. Lets go, first round one me!”
