Mai twirled the throwing needle between her fingers, a deep frown set on her face as she stared at the little paper target she’d pinned to a tree. In the dead centre was three other needles, all pressed in at the exact same point. She clicked her tongue, before she swung her arm up from below. It should miss. An awkward shot like that should hit below the target. There was no possible way it would hit with such a lacklustre throw, and yet- It hit. Dead centre, just like the rest. Mai turned around, back to the target before she blindly threw another behind herself. He heard the hit and Mai glanced back with a frown as she eyed the now five needles met at a single point.
“It’s almost too easy now,” she mused, bored with her outstanding and unbelievable success.
Ty Lee sat in the grass, watching Mai fling her knives and be perfect as usual. It was a pretty normal afternoon and once she started getting restless about sitting she started doing hand-stands. Honestly she didn’t mind doing them in front of Mai, since she knew she wouldn’t hit her unless she wanted to. She hoped she didn’t want to hit her and taking a risk honestly wasn’t the worst, but she still used a little caution in the process. “Too easy? I guess we need to get ya a bigger target then.” she giggled, dropping back into the grass. “Do you want me to snag you someone who moves?”
