After the youth group incident, I decided I’m gonna try to find Toca Boca ppl who DO appreciate my builds. So, introducing my dream apartment in Toca Boca!!

RANT/// ok so I do usually love youth group but today I just felt so…out of place???? I mean ok. Don’t get me wrong. I’m the only homeschooler in our group so I don’t super ~relate~ to everyone but usually it’s okay bc my youth leaders are really cool and obviously we have Jesus in common! Well this time we were going around doing highs and lows and my high of this week was that my mom let me download some TocaBoca packs as a reward for babysitting and one of the girls started laughing at me??? She didn’t mean it in a mean way, but when I showed my youth leader the packs, she looked sort of just like “…oh…that’s nice.” And like okay. I get it. It’s for kids. But this is like, my one hobby that I like that my mom also approves of that has no temptation attached. I don’t have school activities or art classes I literally just stay at home watching my sister. Let me have this.

People often say that they don't feel the presence of God, that they feel disconnected from Him.

But God is in the way you share your food with your hungry sibling, the bread you bake for your neighbor. God is when you sigh and cover your tired coworker's shift so they can have the day off. God is there when your friends come over and wipe your tears while you grieve. God is the outcast that you welcome to your table.

God exists in every sacrifice you make out of love for your neighbor. God is the mourning, the sickly, the poor. Every act you make out of love, God is right in that moment.

Well I think the caption says everything by itself. It's a part of my little aibolit*-inspired toca boca town.

*USSR-famous character from a book by a soviet children's writer Korney Chukovski. There is a poetic and prosaic versions of his story and the prosaic one is basically dollitle, but, like, communist.

Oh and the best part is that Chukovski also made WW2 propaganda with him. The poem is rlly niche and there is probably no English translation, but it really is a thing.
