The Sigh that Blew me Forward
"Hmm, that is true," Lily said, mulling over the idea of the party. It was definitely something that would take a bit more planning - and probably a bit of budgeting - to be able to manage, but she’d take a look at the prices and see what she could do. Especially because it always seemed to break her heart when she had to say no to something that Ella really wanted. As Tyler went and got the pizza, Lily cleared off a bit of the coffee table so that they could just eat there instead of heading to the dining room. When he came back with the plates, Lily kissed his cheek. "Thank you, love," she smiled, leaning forward so that she could cut Ella’s pizza in to more reasonable pieces for her, who was still trying to figure out what could possibly replace a pet for her birthday, before her eyes lit up at Tyler’s mention of the cupcake maker and kitchen set. "Yes, Dada! That’s what I want!" she exclaimed, tugging on the sleeve of his shirt.
"You're welcome." Tyler smiled, rubbing small circles on Lily's lower back as she cut Ella's pizza. He laughed as Ella agreed enthusiastically that yes, she did want the cupcake maker and kitchen set. And Tyler didn't even care if he had to hunt down the toy in question, he'd do anything to make Ella happy. "I think we can do that, but you have to be a good girl for mommy, okay?" He asked as she nodded, a determined look on her face and Tyler grinned, looking over at Lily and placing a kiss on her cheek before he got to eating and watching the movie playing. It wasn't long before he felt the weight of Ella at his side as she slowly drifted off to sleep. "I'm so jealous of her nap time right now." Tyler whispered to Lily.
