“Damn that makes me wish I could have come in here sooner then.” Declan razzed the other enjoying their banter. “I’m not gonna tell you that would be too easy. And I’m not at all offended you didn’t know who I was before we started talking. That makes this a lot easier for me. Imagine having a conversation with a stranger who can literally name all kinds of personal information you didn’t even know you’ve mentioned before. It’s hard to get to know them,” Declan was already having a good time but this just made him like the other even more. “Not to mention then you have to think about is this person flirting with me because they like me or do they want to use me for their own personal gain? It hasn’t happened to me but I’ve seen it happen, it can be soul crushing. You get a lot of trust issues after something like that. I can tell you’re not like that though, especially since you had no idea I was famous from the start. At first, I honestly thought you were acting like you didn’t know which would be adorable but I am sincerely glad you didn’t know. That means you get to know me as a person first, celebrity slash rockstar second.”
“Well, better late than never, right?” Tyler teased playfully, shoving Declan’s shoulder with his a little before laughing and shaking his head. “You’re really going to tell me you’re in this famous, popular, awesome band and not tell me what the name is? I want to support you...” He smirked. In reality, he would support them if he liked the music, but if it was some One Direction boy band, he didn’t think he could find it in him to. It did relieve him that Declan wasn’t offended in the slightest that Tyler didn’t know who he was. That it was actually encouraged, and Ty guessed he could understand that, but he had never been famous, so he wouldn’t know that that’s like. It must’ve been tough to not be able to trust everyone. Hell, even not being famous you can’t trust anyone. People sucked. “Yeah, I get that. That’d be so fucking weird. Talking to someone and they already practically know everything about you while you know nothing about them.” Tyler chuckled, waving at the bartender for another beer. “Want one? It’s my round, remember?” He smiled and bit his lip a little. It was cool that Declan was famous and all, and Tyler would admit that it did draw him to him a little more, just made the guy more interesting, but his attitude towards Declan didn’t change. It really helped that he didn’t know who this guy was when they started talking because he was still in the this is just a normal guy state of mind, and he was a normal guy, he just had an abnormal lifestyle. “That sounds soul-crushing, honestly.” He chuckled awkwardly, trying to put himself in that person’s shoes. Tyler was already a bit of a loner, so it was easy for his mind to think, if I was in that situation, I wouldn’t trust anyone, fuck it. “Well, if it counts for anything, Declan... I really like you as a person, and I don’t like people too often, so please don’t take that lightly.”
