HORRIBLE THING HAPPENED. I went out to give the chickens their morning food, and heard the squeaking/flapping of Wormbecca attacking a mouse. by the time I got there, the mouse had resorted to fighting back, and so had CLAMPED ITS TEETH into Wormbecca’s cheek feathers, and was dangling. which confused her. so Wormbecca went off attack mode and started just…. wandering around the run with this huge obese mouse dangling from her cheek

i didn’t know what to do, so I refilled their food and water like nothing was happening. eventually she shook the mouse off, and I used a shovel to put it somewhere shaded so that it could either die or recover in peace. but it was so gross when she was crowding me trying to get at the fresh food I was pouring in, with a fucking MOUSE dangling from her cheek!
