How long did it take you to design ink? Did you scrap any designs? If so can you show us them?

Well, truth about Ink is something I found out like, two days ago? Is that I actually inspired myself from someone’s OC without realizing it, and I just found their OC again one year later. XD I contacted them and explained the issue and they said it was totally fine. It was a matter of color palette and the pants design, but it’s all cleared up so I’m relieved o/

As for creating the design, well I did go through different phases for Ink but not alot, maybe three. First try was this doodle:

Then the second was the final design, but with a few colors different, unfortunately I don’t have it. But yeah. Usually it really doesn’t take me a lot of tries to design a character because I think them over before drawing them o/

Ink!Sans?

When will be the day I’ll finally get enough of making new Sans/AUs……

Welp this is Ink/Artist!Sans! He’s a sort of weird little guy kinda managing the creation of new AUs in the dark n//v//n When an AU gets created, he’s there to help it come to life!!

He can paint anything with his big brush and make it come to life (except already dead people), he silently supports every one of you who create Undertale AUs and watch your universes progress and stuff.

I have the lil headcanon that he can appear everywhere in every AU from every kind of liquid mixed with paint (teleportation kinda)! His scarf is blank cauz he got the habit to write/try his mix of colors on it lmao

He loves to see the degree of imagination and diversity put in every AU <3

Idk. I love the thought of Sans being an artist and just the idea of having a little out!code version of him watching over you progressing artistically is cute ;;u;; <3

Wait so in reality Ink is a mess up jerk who cares only himself and can go from good or evil depending on the situation? That's just mess up! XD

Well ok I know it might be misleading but he really changed as a character throughout the months. Really he started as a cute random Sans that just supports AUs and gets excited about everything, and since I gave him backstory and based myself from that to think about his reactions to things, he became a really fucked up thing lol

He’s definitely selfish, and that will really be noticeable in the future of the comic.

OK I think I figured Ink out. (I've been staring at that FAQ for a long time lol) Ink must not see these Aus as real. Its like he sees them as stories so when someone dies it's really not a big deal to him right. (Unless he gets invested with them but not enough to panic) Is it like when a minor character dies in a show to him? If that's the case I don't think Ink is a jerk. It's just natural to him right? ^^

So since Ink can't care for anyone, that would make Ink x Error, Ink x Dream, or Ink x anyone wouldn't actually work right? If he can't actually care for anyone, then he can't have a real love relationship with anyone?

Haha pretty much yeah. The aromantic/asexual labels may not actually fit to him personally, but I thought they were the closest to what he could identify to that people could understand.

Hey Jakie! how do you feel about the things comyet is saying about the canon Ink? we know you are trying to use the canon characters from the AU authors but your interpretation of your Ink is quiet different

Well, of course I know I’m not using the whole canon information about Ink, because Mye is still develop her character, and I really love that because she is creating an amazing story for him. The Ink I’m using for Underverse is my fan interpretation  when we barely knew some facts about Ink, anyway I always try to not showing weird things that could bring misunderstandings about him from people that just got into this story and the whole Undertale AU fandom. This is the only thing I’m afraid of.Anyway I don’t feel bad or anything like I was feeling long time ago (at first i felt i was disappointing all the creators), besides, Mye always help me when I have some doubts about Ink when I want to show something specific in Underverse (This also happens with characters like Error, Fresh, Dream and Nightmare - And it will happen too with the future characters I’m goig to use from another artists), and she said many times that my version of Ink, even if is not following the canon story, is quite interesting the way I’m making Ink interact with the other characters. 

All these characters and their stories belong to their own owners and they can change them if they want. After all, they know their own creations more than anyone.

I’m already very thankful that Ink is part of such an ambitious project, I’m not going to go and tap Jakei’s fingertips if she’s representing him a bit differently haha. <3 He’s still very correct and not the complete opposite so it’s all fine. And she’s right, I haven’t been saying much facts about his developing character for a while, I tend to keep my thinking and my reasoning to myself (I like to think alone so that might be just me I’m sorry lol). Either way, honestly, Jakei seems to still represent him as a very mysterious and “not-such-a-white-guardian” kind of character so far and I’m just LOVING the creativity in this.

No one has forced you to ever do all this stuff love, so don’t bother yourself too much with respecting canons too tightly. Do yourself a solid and have fun!
