Painting done around thursday-friday. The process was interesting as ir was originally intended to be more comedic in tone with it shushing the human while stealing a soda vending machine. Decided to stick to make it more serious/omnious.

these army ants tend to move in groups of 4, with the line leader leading the expeditions. They have terrible eyesight, so rely on the sound of the Line Leader's bell staff, and the the pheromone map made by the previous expedition to know where they're heading.

I've been on a horror game binge with Dead by Daylight and Five Nights at Freddy's since December. those twpo games eventually got me hooked

Something that I adore about the Splatoon fandom is how most artists I've seen who love any of the idol groups have their own head-canons and designs of them.

It's such a beautiful way to explore their dynamics and personalities when they were almost always initially seen as very two-dimensional when they're revealed (ie: Callie is hyper, Marie is lazy. Pearl is mean, Marina is nice. Shiver is serious, Frye is silly, Big Man is Big Man.).

What are your favourite interpretations and designs of the idols? You can share your favourites and your own if you'd like!
