When Izuku is placed in charge of caring for their new prisoner of war, the Dragon King Bakugou Katsuki, he believes it to be a punishment. Surely the ruler of barbarians would eat a pitiful servant omega like him alive.

yes this specific scene is angsty WE HAVE THINGS TO WORK THROUGH BEFORE WE GET TO THE FLUFF OK. BUT THERE WILL BE LOTS. i just love angst gomenasorry (<- is shot dead)
Izuku feels awake, for the first time in a long time. His body is stiff and sore, uncomfortable from being still for so long. He stares up at the pale rock ceiling, and at the delicate gauzy drapes with its pretty jewelled and weighted hem. He’s seen this before. Outside, the sky is bright.
Izuku waits for the dream to begin, as it always begins, even though he feels wrong. But there is nothing. Minutes pass, and Izuku hesitantly reaches out to pat the area of the nest beside him, finding it sun-warm and empty. Empty, even though the alpha’s scent is so rich and strong, Izuku swears he must be there.
He’s not there. This is some new nightmare Izuku must be having. His right arm is in a splint and sling against his chest, so he uses his left to carefully sit up. His head is pounding. One eye is covered. Izuku tentatively pats at his face and feels bandages, and pain beneath. What kind of dream is this? Izuku needs to wake up, he has to go hunting, has to see Yagi, first thaw is almost upon them, and it’s almost time to go.
Yet the bright day remains, unchanged. Perturbed, Izuku glances around the rest of the room. He’s never looked. There’s a small table beside the nest, with a bowl of water and a rag, a stool beside it. A shelf filled with furs and blankets, clothing and a pair of boots are on the far wall. Beside that is a smaller, more delicate table with carved drawers and dividers, holding a plethora of those pretty beads on long strings and other jewellery items. Then, there are two doorways—tunnels?—carved into the rock. There is a delicate screen of bejewelled, woven bamboo strings hanging in them, as if for privacy.
Izuku feels ill with the taboo of disturbing the laws of the dream, inching one leg out of the nest at a time. The room spins as he sits there, breathless with the effort it takes to have his feet on the ground. Beneath him is an immense red rug of intricate patterns. Izuku leans heavily on the table as he struggles to his feet, blinking dark spots out of his eyes. He can’t be here. He needs to find his pack.
A beautiful twinkling noise fills the room, and Izuku’s head snaps up so fast his vision blackens. A blonde man parts the strings hanging in one of the doorways, ducking beneath them as he carries a bowl to his chest. His shoulders are somewhat broad and there are bracelets around his wrists, many necklaces around his neck. His pants are simple and loose, low on his hips.
He looks up, and Izuku feels the floor disappear beneath him. It can’t be. His red eyes widen when they find Izuku, half-hidden beneath his grown-out hair. The thick scar on his cheek has healed to look striking instead of painful. There is smudged khol around his eyes. He looks so alive. He looks like he never died. “Izuku,” says Katsuki, and Izuku can’t breathe. His voice is exactly as Izuku remembers, warm and rough and for once, not tight with pain. “You’re awake.”
Izuku’s vision blurs with tears. “Kacchan?” he whispers, so quiet, so weak.
Izuku has to wake up. He has to wake up. This nightmare is too cruel. This nightmare might kill him. His knees wobble dangerously beneath him, and he sees Katsuki lurch forward to reach for him.
Fear slams down on him like ice water. “No!” Izuku growls viciously, slapping his hand away. Izuku backs up one, two steps, and hits the wall behind him. He blinks his vision back furiously, keeping a distrustful eye on the alpha. This is his nightmare. Izuku has to wake up. No matter how much it hurts to see his nightmare-Katsuki smile at Izuku’s challenge, eyes glittering with mirth. “Kacchan is dead,” Izuku states, more for himself.
If Katsuki falters, Izuku couldn’t tell. “Do I look dead, omega?”
How can he look so vivid and alive, when Izuku knows he can’t be? He grins wider as Izuku growls harder when he takes a step forward. He doesn’t look the slightest bit scared of him. Of course he doesn’t. Izuku drags himself to the side, keeping his back against the wall to stay upright. His stomach churns with nausea, and Izuku only pauses his growling and hissing to cough.
“Go away,” Izuku gasps, inching away despite the alpha’s easy pursuit. He’s toying with him, Izuku thinks savagely. He bares his teeth, but the alpha only returns his with a wolfish grin. “Go away! I need—I need to find my pack. Need to help them.” His throat is like sandpaper.
“Why?” Katsuki asks, his amusement fading somewhat. “They are safe.”
“No, they’re not,” Izuku spits. He needs to wake up. “We have to leave. The snow is about to melt.”
“Izuku.” His tone is gentler this time, and it hurts, it hurts, it’s the worst pain he’s ever felt. His expression is different. Izuku squints and tries to study it, but his eyes are watering from the choking nausea. “They are safe. Sit down.” He walks forward, and this time when Izuku tries to claw at his hand, the alpha grabs his wrist easily, trapping it against the wall. He presses their hips together so Izuku can’t kick him, grabs Izuku by the jaw so he can’t headbutt him, as if it’s easy. Of course it is. Kachan is the strongest.
“Easy, omega,” the alpha purrs, immovable despite all of Izuku’s struggling. His fingers dig into Izuku’s cheeks. “Your head is broken enough.”
“Let me go,” Izuku growls, or he tries to. The scent and warmth of him makes him cry. What a nightmare. How could his dreams torture him like this, with the thing he wants the most in the world. “I have to go. I have to go!”
“Why?” the alpha says lowly. “You think I am lying?”
Izuku sobs, with the same force as a scream. Of course he’s lying. “Kacchan is dead, and it’s all my fault.”
Something confusing changes in the alpha’s expression. “Izuku—” he starts.
“And I have to go!” Izuku continues desperately. He struggles anew, but this time the alpha watches him closely, silent. “I promised Kacchan—promised you—we would leave! Otherwise—” Izuku chokes, wishing he could hide his crying face. Even in his own dreams, he shows Katsuki his weakest, most pathetic moments. He’s going to throw up. “Otherwise Kacchan died for nothing!”
Katsuki stares at him. Izuku cries more. “I can’t! I can’t let that happen! I won’t!”
Izuku coughs, and then gags, bowing forward as he vomits all over their feet. It’s black, like blood. His legs give out but the alpha holds him up as he keeps vomiting and retching. It stinks. This is such a nightmare.
He’s picked up as if he weighs nothing by the time he finally stops, slumping with relief. Izuku fights it by instinct, but his efforts are weak. The alpha sits him back in the nest, gives him a pot to hold in case he feels sick again, and wipes his legs and feet clean with rags, even as Izuku burns with shame.
“This is good,” the alpha says. His accent is heavy, but maybe in Izuku’s dreams he speaks more fluently. “The healer said you would vomit. Must remove the old blood.”
“Stop it,” Izuku whispers, hanging his head. “Please, stop it.”
He holds a pitcher of clean water to Izuku’s lips. “Wash your mouth,” he says, but the instant Izuku tastes the water, he gulps it down desperately. “Stop!” the alpha hisses, snatching it away. “You will vomit again! Spit!”
Chided, Izuku does as ordered, spitting into the pot the alpha gave him. Finally with a satisfied rumble, the alpha carefully tucks Izuku back into the nest. He’s too weak to fight it any more, and he hates himself for it. He needs to wake up. He’s so scared he’ll want to stay in this nightmare forever. How much kinder life could be.
Only when he’s comfortable does the alpha begin cleaning up after Izuku. They do not speak further. Izuku watches as he cleans up the mess with rags and discards the dirtied pelt, cleaning it with something that foams and smells floral. Izuku is supposed to clean. Katsuki is a king. What a nightmare this remains.
“Why do you not sleep?” the alpha sighs, frowning. He kneels at Izuku’s side. Pathetically, Izuku studies his face. He lets the nightmare keep growing and hurting. Katsuki pets his hair, kisses his forehead right where it stings, and takes a deep, steadying inhale. “You are still sick.” His voice is rough with his barely-audible purr.
“Please stop,” Izuku whispers, covering his eyes. The alpha growls, and Izuku knows what he’s going to say, so he interrupts. “I can’t bear it. If I was less of a coward, you’d still be alive.”
“I am alive, Izuku,” Katsuki insists. He cups the back of Izuku’s head so gently, as if he knows where it hurts, and presses his face into his neck. “I am alive. Scent me.”
Despite himself, Izuku takes a deep shaky breath of his scent, and cries some more. He buries his nose against the alpha’s skin, as if he can hide it, and drinks in his favourite smell in the world.
“I am alive, Izuku,” Katsuki whispers roughly. “It is not a dream this time. I live. My friends saved me in time. Kirishima saved me in time. You remember his name? I was saved. I promise. I promise, Izuku. I never lie.”
Izuku is so tired. He needs to wake up from this dream, but maybe falling back to sleep will work too. “I miss you so much, Kacchan.”

Forgot how funny vash and wolfwood are in the manga. Imagine u save this guy in the desert, and he tells u that u have a nice smile and then immediately fucks off to who knows where and ur like. Ok probably never gonna see that guy again. And then 2 years after that when you've gone into retirement u find out that that one random guy has been looking for u the whole damn time and somehow he knows about ur evil brother??? So suddenly ur traveling together and this guy is acting like he's known u forever and casually insulting ur entire lifestyle and ur pretty sure he is maybe actually working for ur evil brother but like. What can u even really do about that. And then he becomes the most important person in ur life and then dies about it
