zar’s mom is a former supermodel, and was a reality tv star by the time he was born. his birth in the season finale cinched a second season for them.
father never really in his life tbh and he doesn’t care to find him.
his mom basically treated him like an asset, wanted him to look perfect and pretty all the time. he was a model as a child and teenager, since his mother wanted him to be as successful as her.
she was very stingy with affection and basically the only affection he got was from his mom’s dogs, sugar and spice, who died when he was ten.
was sexually active and started using drugs and alcohol by the time he was in high school, thanks both to the nature of the modelling industry at the time, his need for validation, and his mom’s willingness to look the other way or even shove pills into his hands if she felt he needed them.

zar did relapse, but managed to stay away from the parties and events, isolating himself. he focused on schoolwork, mostly, and actually proved to be pretty bright. applied for university without his mother’s knowledge, got into uc san francisco, and, of course, had to pay his way through since his mother refused. still, he enjoyed himself, binge drinking and lots and lots of sex, not to mention zar cutting people off as soon as he starts to catch feelings. still, he does really well in university, and when an advisor suggests vet school, he’s like “oh word?”
as of now, though, he’s taking a break between his undergrad and his doctorate to try and earn a little more money. he has a volunteer coordinator position at the san francisco spca, but he’s also slipped back into the modelling world via instagram. he still refuses to return to professional modelling, just does like sponcon and stuff..
